Tekken 8 Game Adds DLC Character Fahkumram This Summer

Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed a video for its Tekken 8 fighting game on Saturday at the EVO Japan event that outlines the game's updates for this spring and summer. The video reveals returning character Fahkumram will join the game this summer. Knee won the Tekken 8 tournament at EVO Japan.In the game's version 2.01 update on Tuesday, a free update will include "Tekken Ghost Showdown" in the Tekken Fight Lounge, and paid content such as a Cyber Phantom Pack and a Vigilante Tech Pack.In the game's version 2.02 update on June 3, the game will have a collaboration with the Karate Kid: Legends film that includes a free hoodie costume. Other free content includes Kuma and Panda color costumes. Paid content includes classic costumes for Panda and Kuma, as well as a Dragunov costume. Version 2.03 of the game will feature a Pac-Man franchise collaboration when it launches this summer. The collaboration will include a battle stage, hit effects, a T-shirt costume, a plushie pack, and mini-games. Additionally, Version 2.03 will include Fahkumram.The three updates will also include balance adjustments.A returning character will release in the game this fall, and a new character will release in the game this winter, alongside a new stage, to round out Season 2 for the game. The first release in Season 2 included character Anna Williams on March 31.Tekken 8 launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in January 2024. The game featured 32 characters at launch. The game crossed 2 million copies in sales worldwide in February.The story of the newest entry, Tekken 8, takes place nearly six months after Tekken 7. The Guinness World Records recognize the Tekken franchise as having the longest running narrative in video game history.Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Nina Williams, Jun Kazama, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, King, Lars Alexandersson, Jack-8, Ling Xiaoyu, Asuka Kazama, Leroy Smith, Lili, Hwoarang, Bryan, Azucena, Claudio, Raven, Devil Jin, Lee Chaolan, Alisa Bosconovitch, Victor Chevalier, Reina, Leo, Steve, Dragunov, Feng, Yoshimitsu, Shaheen, Kuma, Panda, Zafina, and Lee Chaolan were all playable characters at launch.Eddy Gordo was added to the game in April 2024 as the first DLC character, followed by Lidia Sobieska on July 22, and Heihachi Mishima on September 30.
