I have caught up with the manga before season 2 was beginning its airing.
I Really Really Really Really Really (pun not intended) love this series to death ever since season 1, and when this season was announced, I was SO EXCITED, considering the fact that my friends kept on reminding me just how much this season will have in terms of PEAK.

THE FUCKING GALL of the animators dude, you have to understand whatever the shit that happens in this series, almost every ecchi scene is left uncut, long, and uncensored, and even some unintentional ones are put in the mix, WHAT ELSE YOU POSSIBLY WANT? (obviously not gonna show them but you get what i mean)
in all seriousness though, the animation in general is so spectacularly made, every scene just looks so damn beautiful, and it differentiates the girlfriends more than enough to not make them feel "samey", and honestly, still my opinion the best part of this whole series.
Characters:
Before talking about the newer characters, i want to talk about the existing ones, only some select ones (Summary on how i feel on the characters are on a tier list).
THE SPEECH IS NOW ANIMATED! WAHOO!
Karane Inda.
She's notable due to the "Tsundere Lost" arc, and it's honestly by far the best part of her character, since she really wants to show every emotion she has for Rentarou, but couldn't quite confidently show it without the constant hostile (in a good and funny way) mask that she has to have at every waking moment, and to see the entire Family trying their HARDEST to make her return to what she is normally is so addicting.
The concept of removing a character trait that makes a char special is honestly such an amazing idea and always executed well in my eyes, and this is no exception.
Final one is Shizuka.
the Karaoke part (Episode 7 First Half) shows Shizuka being confident, for the very first time, in a while, she express her joy and love in her OWN VOICE, and the voice actor for her sang AMAZINGLY.
So cute in fact, that it literally causes everyone to go INSANE.
Enough of the old characters for now, let's talk about the newer ones added in the cast, starting with Kurumi Haraga.
She is very hungry and has a complete craving for every single pack of food she sees, not the most unique but still extremely charming in her own right, her sheer nearly bottomless stomach has been shown in the most extreme of tournaments (At episode 2, that is).
My personal thoughts are quite simple: I wish i could eat as much as her, and a lot different food than her, again, still quite enjoyable in every moment she's in.
Next up IS SURPRISINGLY, Mei Meido.
A completely loyal and (not blind) Maid, used to serve Hahari, who was (i believe) her master, with a VERY tragic backstory that makes her all the more memorable, and just look at her goddamn eyes.
this gets me every single time.
Rentarou's process of trying so hard to make her NOT obedient always give me chills.
Next is in my opinion, one of the best characters in this season, Iku Sutou.
Voiced by the majestic Rie Takahashi, she's a very stoic, and masochistic girl, the VERY definition of "No Pain, No Gain", and she has a firm belief of that statement UNTIL THE BITTER END. I really like this character and it's just because of her sheer determination to moving on even if it's very painful, it's like she's LIMITLESS for pain
Her intro is my favorite one (my friends are synonymous for saying "Iku Head" because of the fucking camera angle faces Iku from behind when she massage's Rentarou's legs, AND I COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING EVER SINCE)
I still have dreams about Iku Head to this day, wonderful character, and she's my main inspiration to do sports (even if it's just a little bit)
Her being aroused over Rentarou having another girl (Nano) is her only bad quality, but it only happened once so it doesn't matter that much.
THE MAJESTIC, GOREGOUS, AND RULING GODDESS OF BEAUTY HERSELF!, MIMIMI UTSUKISHISUGI!
Another favorite of mine, the way she makes her beauty become the Way of Life for her is always so damn... shall i say, NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL!, and her initial conflict with Nano (Nano doesn't give a shit THE ENTIRETY of it) is so comedic and wonderfully executed.
She is always flexing and is completely narcissistic and that's the best part of her, SHE'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!, the sheer beauty combined with her voice just OH MY!, makes my heart throb. Her fucking aura/glow from just here mere presence is one of a kind and she ALWAYS stand out before anyone else.
2nd favorite of this season/batch of girlfriends and deserves that spot more than any other.
And a complete contrast to the overly confident, Kakure Meme.
A different kind of Shy, one to make her look completely different than Shizuka despite sharing the same concept, she is a sewer, but also runs away in any engagement, even when it's just one other person in her vicinity, her constant hide and seek games are still so extremely exciting to see unfold, and even when she KISSES Rentarou.
Some people may call it "running out of ideas", but i personally call it "A different change of pace" when it comes to her.

Story:
Good story, INSANELY fast pacing, and a lot of funny moments happening, that's about all.
The world surrounding Rentarou and the School is while enclosed, still full of life.
Every single random anime reference got me shedding in tears LOL.

You either hate it or love it. Personally, I’m a proud romance anime glazer, so I suppose (HEY GUYS! Re:Zero reference!!!!) it’s time for me to yap about the peak in this anime. The anime continues to follow the central idea that our protagonist, Rentarou, is an absolute chad, expanding his harem, which consists of a comedically archetypal tsundere, kuudere, erodere, and dandere... Yeah, you get the point, lads. __One hundred girlfriends... and one young man.__ All ages, all heights, all sizes. Let’s be honest: about 99 out of 100 people who watch this anime long to be Rentarou. Even me; it is terrifyingly sad how alone and companionless a young male such as myself is; of course, I yearn to be just like our absolute chad M.C. However, I have a question for you. __Do you really think it’s that easy? Do you really think you can care for 100 girlfriends with nothing but yourself?__ __HELL THE FUCK NO.__ Unless you have some insane mutation that makes you grow multiple arms, multiple legs, and—uhhh, you know—things to please each one of them, I have no doubt in my mind that you’d falter under all the endless pressure and tribulation required to keep all of them in meaningful, thriving, and successful relationships. Hell, even 1 girlfriend was way too much for me... __Yeah, I’m not going to stress how lame my love life is or how lame I am, but let’s just say I couldn’t be bothered after three weeks of soul-draining, meaningless calls where we just sat in silence.__ __So, uh… the moral of the story: don’t date an ABG.__ The amount of respect our absolute GOAT needs has GOT to be studied. Juggling his school life and his mind-numbingly, egregiously draining love life is so insane that a standing ovation would be negligible compared to the breathtaking and awe-inspiring amount of praise he probably already gets from his intense, love-smothering girlfriends on a daily basis. That praise is probably like the size of a quark compared to the universe of respect he deserves. Rentarou is the perfect man. He’s breathtakingly attractive and charismatic (heh… I guess you could say he’s got unmatched rizz) and is incredibly devoted to saving these damsels in distress. I mean, you can’t make this shit up. If being the epitome of husband material were a crime, he’d be locked up for life and left to rot until he was a skeleton—not just in the crust, but deep down in the mantle, marinated in the mineral-rich (and girlfriend-rich) earth for millions of years. But of course, M.C. isn’t going to back down. Whatever trials he faces, somehow his innate powers—probably inherited from Sung Jinwoo—kick in just to let him spend one more second with his mind-breakingly diverse and cute lineup of girls. __I mean, if he even heard me call them a “lineup of girls”, he’d probably kill me. They aren’t just a lineup of girls for him to use. They’re all unique, universe-shatteringly beautiful, and impoverished of blandness or tackiness.__ Each one of them is an absolute masterpiece, requiring an immense amount of attention—not just for their beauty, but for their quirks, personalities, and, simply... what makes them them. (Yes, I’ve learned from you, oh draining young lady.) They all deserve one man for each and every one of themselves… And well, Rentarou is that 100-man army. He contains that 100-man strength. He is a PSL GOD. HE IS THE MOST EMOTIONALLY INTELLIGENT MAN I HAVE EVER SEEN. I’d go as far as to give him 10/10 SMV (sexual market value). __He doesn’t need money. He doesn’t need fame. He’s the self-embodiment of pure, unadulterated breeding material.__ He just needs to be himself. He is exquisitely crafted by GOD to be two words: THAT DUDE (Yes, this is a reference to one of my favourite YouTubers.). Feel free to guess who it is.) He isn’t a woman magnet for no reason... No, no. This guy is the flawless shoulder to lean on. He gives emotional consolation to all the girls he is destined to be companions with. He isn’t just a brainless loser, like other anime protagonists. This is a true MAN. The role model every single little boy needs. He goes above and beyond to make sure the girls don’t even COME CLOSE to thinking about breaking up with him. He eats, sleeps, flirts, kisses, and consoles—all at the split second he is specially manufactured to do so. And he does way more, almost enragingly; how many brain-zappingly over-the-top things he does to not only satisfy the girls but also fill them with terrifying levels of happiness and joy. Now, you’re probably thinking, “Yo, when the FUCK will this corny mf stop yapping about the MC?” Well, I guess you’re lucky, because if this was all my review was, I’d probably ban myself from making reviews for the rest of my life. So let’s move on from my WELL-DESERVED, UNDOUBTEDLY UNERRING, AND VERACIOUS GLAZE for the GOATED main character we call Rentarou. (Yes, I used Google for those words.) I GOT 1 IMAGE FOR THOSE CAPTIVATED BY MY REVIEW: 
Well, this image obviously represents my main facial expression through this anime. Where do I even start? Other than saying nothing but pulchritudinous, mind-shattering EXTRATERRESTRIAL BEAUTY. __This animation is not just eye candy—it’s an entire feast.__ The art style feels both fresh and familiar. It's cute, kawaii, and straight-up hot.
But it's not just superficial. This anime isn't like Solo Levelling, where you’re left with all flash and no substance. The design of the girls is so appealing it hurts to look at—because you crave to be Rentarou. The colours are vibrant, complementing the MOE'NESS of the anime. The exaggerated blushes, the over-the-top emotions—all flawlessly executed. Seriously, shoutout to Bibury Animation Studio for this masterpiece.
And while we’re on the topic of animation, we need to talk about the fan service. Let’s be real, there's a 99 out of 100 chance __you’re going to get a boner every episode. But let me explain: Is it your fault? Nah. The fan service is genuinely that good.__
It’s not the usual, repetitive cliché of "Oh, I accidentally walked in on a girl changing!" Nah, this fan service is unique and fits perfectly with the absurdity of Rentarou’s situation. The kiss scenes? They’re to die for. The sexual tension? It’s palpable. Rentarou pulls a girl in for a kiss, and you can feel the intensity. My GOAT, Hahari, with that devastatingly comforting MOMMY PERSONALITY? Damn, I'm feeling lonely just typing this. This isn’t just about titillation... Absolutely FUCKING NOT. Actually, __it’s part of the absurd humour that works so well with the anime’s style.__
Rentarou is in one of the most mind-bogglingly ridiculous yet oddly real situations I’ve ever seen in anime. It's not just some mindless shounen where the main character destroys everything in his path. It’s not the monotonous, boring school-life anime either, despite Rentarou still being in school. In fact, a large portion of the anime happens outside the classroom. This sets it apart from the usual “self-insert boy and cute anime girls” dynamic that relies heavily on school life.
__It's refreshing to see an anime where the main character isn’t a timid, embarrassing loser. Rentarou’s not afraid to step up and be a man—and honestly, that’s something a lot of romance anime protagonists lack.__
There isn't any need to explain the comedy of an anime because, in my opinion, stressing the comedic value of a piece of fiction can actually be counterintuitive for people who are aiming to view the anime. Watch it for yourself. It's good enough to at least warrant a viewing from you. This also goes for the soundtracks because im complete dogshit at analysing songs... But all I'm going to say is that it fits the anime to a T. It's cutesy, upbeat and exactly what you would expect from this anime.
__And how about we go ahead and stress how amazing the archetypes are... THE ARCHETYPES ARE SO WELL DONE. In order to match the tone of the whole entire series, I believe that the characters personalities are SUPERCHARGED.__ What do I mean by this? Well, you don't see a tsundere every day that is this cute but also this DAMN SHARP AT THE SAME TIME. Karane is strong, beautiful, and pretty intelligent too. But she's got a mouth on her and a massive attitude. However, that can't help her hide her secret cute side. It's almost laughable how roided the personalities of the girlfriends are. Be it Eiai Nano, some people literally think she is A ROBOT due to how calculating, smart and efficient she is. Or Shizuka, so timid she can't even speak without using a book or her damn phone (I swear its this damn phone for the youth smh smh smh) Or goddamn Hahari, just THE MOST OVERBEARINGLY HORNY MOTHER I THINK I HAVE EVER LAID MY EYES ON.
Also, let's talk about the substance of this anime. The criticism this anime, mellowly yet sharply, conveys is absolutely beautiful. It challenges the idea that the ideal man is nonchalant. Because __loverboys are simply just better.__ The normalised thought that masculinity is some roided-up guy who doesn't care about women is just so boring I could die.

In summary, this anime offers everything you’d want if you’re into over-the-top fan service, wild character dynamics, and ridiculous but surprisingly witty humour. Rentarou is the walking incarnation of emotional intelligence and charisma, and while the show is admittedly absurd, it’s hard not to love it.__
If you’re into romance anime or just want a good time watching a guy juggle the impossible, this anime is for you. Give it a shot, and watch Rentarou show you exactly why he’s __THAT DUDE.__

As my first proper exposure to the kind of anime that weebs fantasize about living in themselves for a majority of their lives, the first season of The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You, or just The 100 Girlfriends for short, was actually a pretty fun time overall, and I ended up really loving it. I wouldn't say it was anything too amazing for what it was, as it definitely did have its problems, both obvious and not so obvious, but for what it is, it still managed to be incredibly fun, taking the many different tropes and issues that people typically find in harem anime, making fun of them, and then RELISHING in them to make for a show that is both equally hilarious and ridiculously stupid, while also being genuinely wholesome and sweet at the same time in many different instances. And thankfully, many people thought this too, as the show got very positive reviews back when it first aired, which led to the eventual creation of Season 2 just a little over a year later, which manages to not only be just as good as the first season, but somehow even better, doubling down on the insanity and hilarity that the first season had to make for a great continuation that I had a great time watching week after week.
In terms of any major changes made to the overall formula, there isn't that much there on the surface level of things that has been altered: the show is primarily still about Rentaro going about his daily life, meeting new girls that he ends up falling in love with and vice versa, while also dealing with the ever-growing harem that he has made for himself through many different wacky shenanigans. It all works essentially the exact same as before, and as the title of the show may imply, we get five new girlfriends for Rentaro to win over this time around, which consist of Kurumi, a girl who loves eating and is essentially a lesser version of Karane, Mei, one of Hahari's maids who..... is just that, a maid character, Iku, a baseball player at Rentaro's school who also just so happens to be a masochist who enjoys any ounce of pain she can muster (you know, like every other athlete on the planet), Mimimi, a girl who is a self-proclaimed beauty queen who revels in being as beautiful and as adoring to the public as possible, and Meme (yes, that is actually her name), a girl who is incredibly shy and has a knack for making a bunch of tiny stuffed animals...... for some reason. Naturally, all of these girls are introduced gradually as the season goes on, and as you could probably tell, each one is solely defined by one character trait that Rentaro must go along with, and like with the girlfriends from Season 1, each one of these ones manage to be really likable in plenty of ways. I wouldn't say they are quite as memorable or likable as that of the previous girlfriends, but at the same time, with a show like this with this premise, of course there are gonna be characters that end up not being as great as others, so this makes sense, even if they definitely could've worked at making some of the girls more unique, such as Mei, who I swear I forget exists every time until she actually appears on-screen in an episode.
Aside from that though, the show also consists of more of the usual wacky shenanigans that you would typically find in an anime, and in this case, they double down on that front. Not only is the show's structure completely changed this time around, having two basic plots that are placed right alongside each other in the same episode to give the audience a little bit of both of the things they expect whenever they come to watch the show. For example, there could be one episode where the first 11 minutes will be focused on Rentaro getting to know and loving another one of the girlfriends that he needs to add to his harem, but then the rest of the 11 minutes could be spent doing something completely different, such as doing karaoke, playing baseball, or getting into another sticky situation thanks to one of Kusuri's potions. A lot of the episodes in this season work with this structure, and it manages to work out pretty well for keeping up plenty of those hilarious moments you would expect to see, while also continuing to make fun of both anime and the harem genre as much as it can at the same time, even if this kind of structure does lead into some problems that I will get into later. Even then though, with this new structure in mind, they still manage to keep the original structure around at times, what with there being several episodes that will just resort to the usual 22-minute plots that the first season had, which is definitely a good thing for those that are wanting more full stories from this show, even though wanting something like that from a show like this is pretty stupid (ironic, considering what will be coming later in this review).
Out of everything though, I think the biggest change when it comes to this season of the show has to be with its tone, or rather, the kind of tone it WANTS to have. For the first season, there was definitely a mix of several tones that were happening throughout the whole thing, whether it be where the show can get serious and wholesome at plenty of times, especially when it comes to some of the struggles that the characters can go through and the plotlines that unfold throughout the show, as well as the incredibly stupid, wild and fourth-wall breaking nonsense that the show loves to devolve into at many points, often bringing in plenty of hilarious jokes and moments that definitely make the show way more memorable as a result. However, in this season, they almost always fully lean in on the more stupid and wild side of the series for the most part, often favoring very specific and wild scenarios for the characters to get into and have to deal with rather then dealing with any kind of big, major, complex stories, and if there are any of those kinds of moments in the show, they are often pushed to the side for the sake of its style of exaggerated comedy, which I personally am all for, but I can definitely see how this could go against what some people may want from the show. Don't get me wrong, the bigger plotlines and issues that the characters dealt with in Season 1 weren't exactly the most complicated or complex ones out there, but they did get us to know more about these characters and how they felt about each other and themselves, which gave them plenty of development and made them that much more likable as a result, and while these moments aren't completely gone from this season, they are clearly put to the side more in favor of stuff like an entire half of the episode dedicated to turning all of the characters into babies just for the sake of it. But again, that's not something I am entirely bothered by, as I was still able to have a lot of fun with what the season gave me anyway, along with just how much more ridiculous and stupid it could get with each episode.
Although, that in itself does somewhat lead to my only real big concern when it comes to this season over anything else, and that is with how they handled the new girlfriends this time around. Like I mentioned before, this season primarily features a change in structure, where they will usually dedicate two 11-minute stories to be pushed right alongside each other in one singular episode, which is what they do with each of the girlfriends' introductions this time around. Half of the episode will focus on Rentaro meeting and subsequently getting together with said girlfriend, and the other half of the episode will be focused on a silly situation that the gang all get into, usually involving the new girlfriend in some way, which isn't necessarily a bad format for a show like this to have at all, but it does make it so that a lot less attention is put on the new girlfriends and why we should actually care about them as characters. Sure, the show does have some ways to help counteract this, what with there being several episodes that are entirely focused on the girls doing one specific thing, with there usually being heavy involvement in said thing from the new girlfriend, but at the same time, they still aren't given enough focus to where I could care more about them when compared to the others, which does lessen their inclusion by quite a bit. Although, having said all of that, I also can't think of a way that the show could improve something like that, because this problem sprouting up for the show was an inevitability. With the entire premise of the show in mind, they were bound to run into a situation where they would have too many characters to where there can only be so much focus given to any specific character here, and while they quite haven't necessarily fully reached that point here, they are definitely getting pretty close to that point as well, and we are only 11 girlfriends in! But of course, again, at the same time, that isn't necessarily a huge issue, considering that this show is now focused on the comedy side of things more then anything, and it certainly works out in that regard, let me tell ya.
Overall, despite some problems that comes with the show's new structure and slight shift in tone, along with what this could mean for introducing new characters and developing them further down the road, Season 2 of The 100 Girlfriends manages to be an improvement over the original season, not by that much, but just enough to where it managed to be both incredibly fun and memorable over the course of the entire thing, to where I had a blast with it and thought it was fantastic, what with the stories getting much more absurd, ridiculous, and unashamed with each episode, which makes them really fun to watch, the characters being more fun and hilarious throughout as well, while still having plenty of wholesome and sweet moments to make them all the more likable, the voice acting is still great, the animation is still pretty good, and the humor is definitely an improvement this time around as well, both in terms of how funny the episodes can be and how I myself have become more lenient on this style of humor as well. I would definitely recommend it for those who were big fans of the original season, as well as those who are huge fans of these kinds of shows in general, because while it wasn't quite as good as it could've been overall, it still managed to be loads of fun throughout and just as ridiculously charming as ever before, which is all anyone can ask from it. Let's just hope that, if we ever do get a Season 3 out of this show, we will get an increase of the amount of girlfriends that that season will introduce. Not because I want to see them, but just to get this all over with faster. Again, there's 89 more to go. We are gonna be here for a LONG time.
