Penguin Random House's New Disney Licenses to Include Manga
Viz Media, Dark Horse Comics, and Tokyopop already publish titles, licensed through Disney Publishing, that are billed as manga. Viz Media titles include Ultraman: Along Came a Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Kizuna, Star Wars: Path of the Lightsaber, Star Wars: Visions : The Manga Anthology, and Star Wars: The Mandalorian: The Manga .Dark Horse Comics titles include The Art of Star Wars: A New Hope – The Manga, based on Hisao Tamaki's Star Wars: A New Hope manga adaptation.Tokyopop currently publishes a large library of children's titles based on Disney properties.Disney Publishing announced at Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 last month that it will resume its comic adaptation of the live-action Star Wars: The Mandalorian series with a fifth volume.
