DESCRIPTION
After reliving the life of a high school student through the ReLIFE experiment, 27-year-old Arata Kaizaki cannot believe how quickly it has changed him. He has begun to see the world through a different perspective that he had completely forgotten as an adult. He has made friends and formed deep relationships with each one of them. However his support, Ryou Yoake, reminds him that the experiment is all an illusion; after his experiment ends, he will be forgotten by all of them.
The experiment of another ReLIFE subject is also coming to an end. After spending two years with ReLIFE, Chizuru Hishiro has developed into a more open, more thoughtful person than she could have ever imagined. She has met people who have changed her life, her perspective, and ultimately her. However, now that their ReLIFE is coming to an end, will they be able to let go of the memories they have made?

98/100RELife and comparison of reality of two stages of lifeContinue on AniListThe anime portrays before us the two realities that marks the transformation from the life of high school to the life of an adult who is basically a NEET and condemned by the society for not being able enough to work his/her way out.
The portrayal of the two dimensions of the life and the very nature of the RElife experiment shows that how the shift in the attitude of a person takes place when the transaction from the life of a high schooler to adulthood takes place. The straightforward and friendly person like Kiazaki suffers from betrayal and the cruel and harsh treatment of the society forgetting the fact that other person is also a human and needs help and reliance on others. Hishiro has completely independent personality and since she does not know how to get along well with other people, she gets bully for being too self-centered instead of helping her to get along with others just like in high school. The stark contrast has been shown between the two worlds and how reliving the moments of early life can bring drastic changes in the personality of the individual. It is perfectly okay to enjoy the moments and make as many memories as a person wants instead of overthinking about the future. Living in the moment is the best possible solutions to every problems that comes with worrying about the future and its consequences. Making best use of the present time and enjoying and feeling both the happiness and the sorrows of the life are important components of the life. The anime highlights this feature of life a lot that it is okay to be interested in anyone, it is okay to feel sad and dejected sometimes, the feeling of enjoying and living and making the best part of your every moment is what matters and the people may vanish from the lives but memories remain and can be lived and relived through experiences. It is okay to not rush through things but feel them naturally, confirm them for one’s own benefit and act on them in a natural way learning and growing each and every day of the life. Even though the person will vanish and the present moment is only an illusion but it is definitely okay to let it have a chance and live the moment to the very fullest. I really like the way Hishiro is trying to understand herself and says that another emotion is spurring inside her when she was avoiding Arata to confirm her own feelings and gain a different perspective. The moment she decided to ask Arata for date was cute. The message were too formal to be perceived as asking for date. Arata and Hishiro are always trying to carry things out from other person’s perspective to not harm the feelings or destroy the memories of the other person which is a really thought provoking perspective of both of them. But personally I think that the experiment in its very nature reveal the cruel fact that with the passage and sweep of time we tend to forget the most important people in our lives that make the most part of us. But we should never give up in connecting the dots together and trying to understand things while living in the moment at the same time. Good things are bound to happen because time is not always bad. The one thing that piqued my interest was the reason Kaizaki took the job to work in the experiment as well to make the people who have given up on themselves to be liberated from their sadness and make them relive the moments they once cherished, giving them the confidence they once had.FalconDreamer
60/100ReLIFE showed us how can adult in highschool change his and other highschoolers lifeContinue on AniListReLIFE
I remember bumping into ReLIFE while keeping up with Tokyo Revengers and finishing Koikimo. To me at first ReLIFE seem like a fantasy romcom about a 27 year old man Arata Kaizaki which hasnt found much success in his job life, leaving his first job after three months and then struggling to find a job. From the start you could tell that he was kind of a lazy shut in which is killing time with any drinking party. After finding out that Kaizaki Arata will undergo a experiment of ReLIFE, living a life of a high school student for a year i was starting to actually get interested in where this anime will take it. Lets first check the characters and then lastly i will tell you the main takeaways i think we could take from this anime.
Arata Kaizaki
Arata Kaizaki is the main character of relife anime. He was first shown as a half shut in NEET which is jobless without any clear purpose. Most of his time was spent just ranting about how unlucky and sad his life is without doing anything about it. After this very short time in the anime Arata met Ryou, he introduced him into a relife project and gave him the offer of going through the experiment as the test subject. At first Arata wasnt really convinced - the main reason Arata accepted the offer at that time was probably because they payed for all of his livings and the fact that they told him he will for sure receive few job offers. At first Kaizaki told to himself he will just survive the year in the background without getting involved, but that quickly changed tho because of his personality, he was naturally a nice and kind person - so once he saw someone in trouble or someone being kind to him, he couldnt hold back but to start conversation. I really liked how Arata was through the whole anime able to build the relationship with the high school kids and mainly how he was able to help them deepen or save relationships between them. This gave him the new and young perspective on the world again. I believe it was what clicked for him and changed him for better finally after so much time... again living in the present moment to the fullest and doing everything he could to improve himself and others around you.
Chizuru Hishiro
Chizuru Hishiro at first wasnt shown as the main character.. or atleast i didnt notice it :D. At the start of the anime she was just shown as another high schooler. She was at the top of the class but had 0 friends and interest in building relationship with others. This throughout the anime changes.. mainly thanks to Arata. He is the first one to accept and give Chizuru hope to try to form bonds and relationships with others. Hishiro throughout the anime finds out how to build a meaningful relationship with people. With all of this. Chizuru was able to build something she maybe was already at the start uncouciosly scared of, she was able to build bonds with people deep enough that she then didnt want to leave relife experiment and those people behind, mainly Arata as she builded an interest for him.
Main takeaway
So what are the main takeaways i atleast got from this anime? I think the anime did a really good job with showing how hard it is of letting go some friendships and relationships you have built with people. The way they showcased Arata and Hishiro leaving behind all the people behind was i think very well made. The ending was also very suprising to me. I was so convinced that the anime will either end badly or well, i would say we got something in the middle. Despite Arata and Chizuru losing their memories about each other.. they were somehow able to remember each other and reunite again as adults this time, but on the other hand it seemed like they never got to reunite with the high schoolers theyve spend their time with, atleast they didnt show us(manga will surely answer this tho :D).
