Machida-kun seems like the perfect brother, son, and student because he loves people. Helpful when he needs to be, but puts himself down when he feels like a total failure. However, the people that surround his daily life are there as a reminder as why Machida-kun needs no improvements because the people love Machida.

Machida-kun is a character that people should want to become.
THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION

Machida-kun no Sekai (The World of Machida) tell the story of Machida Hajime and the people around him. So it is important to understand his character.

Machida Hajime is not a student who are good at academic or athletic, or socially adept person and probably quite frank. These are his weakness, and it always limiting him in certain situation He realizes this and see how this as some sort of limiting him for something. Despite of this he cares about the world and sincerely cares about those people around him and willing to help them beyond the normal line in order for that person to be happy. He cares for people due to how he see the value of life as something important and seek to help the people around him of the importance of that value and make them happy because they see all of those people as some sort of family to him. This trait of him makes him a beloved person to those who know him and see him as someone who are perfect the way he is.

The story is about many event happening around him and how he perceive those event. Whatever happen he always intend to help people because he cares for them and loved them all and the people who interact with him grow to love him back and improve themselves as person. His attitude help them change and realize the potential of a better person they are. This not only help the character grow, but also Machida-kun understanding of the world and his growth in it by interacting with.

Story in this genre is not supposed to be something that show excitement and tend to show how the life of the character get through it day by day and some lesson to be learned in it. Yet there are some semblance of hope and warm on how the story are drawn out and I cannot help myself to smile by the end of the chapter because it just show how the character grow by the interaction and encouragement by Machida-kun and how himself are growing. This could be seen as some sort of reflection back to our self due to how people tend to perceive themselves as someone with only weakness and no strength yet we should never forget that we are loved and cared by other people. The many pages for each chapter allowed the image to be drawn quite large that the character expression and the ambiance around it to be depicted to convey the feeling of the moment. This allow the reader to sense what it trying to tell.# # # #

Kindness is king. Beloved Machida

This manga is the embodiment of everything you should aspire to be. The heartwarming feels by the boy who, given his "flaws", loves the world sincerely and offers the greatest present of all: kindness. Curiosity may kill the cat, but kindness wins the tip of the hat, for you can never have too much kindness in this world.

The story of Machida might not be complex, it may not blow the mind away with Lain power, but it will make your day that much better, and in observing Machida, and his effect on people, you will realize that the greatest gift of all is kindness.

Machida's failure to recognize his own worth is reflective of the corrupt modern world, where people work like robots, think "results" are more than relationships, and the warmth that pours out from him and this manga show that, kindness can make life that much more satisfying. The lesson is simple but one we may too easily forget, a person's kindness can save a life, so this manga in all its authenticity presents, through Machida, the world's greatest gift.

The story may feel repetitive, in that his kindness is repeatedly presented in a cyclical way, he pleases people they are moved, everyone is happy, but the mistake is in taking kindness for granted. The message has to be shown throughout because kindness is not a phase but the way of life, and Machida's consistency of embodying that kindness serves to remind us that feigned temporary kindness is not kindness: you ain't getting paid or scamming people into voting for you! Be kind to others and they'll be kind to you, and if everyone is kind then no one is in a bind.

Machida wasn't kind with ulterior motives, and that is where the simplicity becomes the charm. There's no need for hidden layers behind the kindness, he is simply kind because he wants to be kind, he understands the people, and I'm sure Machida's life is far better off than that of those that gave away their kindness at the expense of what, money? Not like money is worth a damn if you've got no friends or anyone there for you :0

The art style isn't revolutionary, but it doesn't need to be as a gem will always be a gem, internal worth not affected by external perceptions. When a person complains that the art is bland, aren't they missing the point here? You want the depressed vibes go read Punpun because kindness doesn't need to come in the form of grandeur, of luxury, a smile costs zilch and it may lighten the mood, make a person happy. And Machida has some dope smiles.

So yes read Machida-kun no Sekai and feel good
