  A drama that deserves much more recognition.

  Disclaimer: This Review contains some spoilers

  To start with if you are reading this review to decide whether you should read "Lookism" or not, the I will answer it in short.

  " I have never read a drama as good as "Lookism" and I 100% recommend everyone to read it. "

  People will behave around you differently if you are good looking but same people will call you ugly pig and bully you if are on the lower end of the food chain.

  

  This is a story of park Hyung suk who is a poor fat guy who lives alone with this mother who works day and night to support his studies. Hyung Suk gets bullied by the most powerful guy at his school Logan lee, to avoid this decided to run away to a different school so he can stay away from Logan. On his first day in the new city he gets beaten by Zack Lee. His life is changed when he suddenly gets a new body that he can switch to. On his first day in new school he gets picked up by Zack Lee but with his new body he beat him with only one punch. Hyung suk with his new body goes to his new school and make a lot of friends and bit by bit he changes and also becomes good with his original body.

  But the story is not this much simple because there are organizations that Hyung suk and his friends must take on to live their peaceful life. These organizations are all controlled by 2 powerful villains who with hook or crook want to make a lot of money.

  Some characters who bully as story progresses realizes their mistake and become good while some characters who were bullied because of trauma becomes twisted motherfuckers who want revenge.

  If I have to talk about characters then it will start with Vasco, who is the leader of a school crew called burn knuckles. Vasco was also bullied in middle school like MC but he trained and trained that he became a monster that could even take on a bear.
  

  Heck this have an actual story and actual real good side characters with actual good backstories. The main character really deserves to be the main character.

  It have a everything in perfect balance, A dark plot full of bullying and fights. A school life that is peaceful sometimes and sad at sometimes. This thing at some point even put "oyasumi punpun" at shame, it went way too dark.

  The artwork is very realistic and fights scenes are well drawn. As a reader i could connect with the characters and that is an important thing. If the reader don't want to be one of the characters of the story then there is no way he would enjoy it. The story from time to time goes into the backstories of all the side characters. This is probably the only manhwa where I enjoyed the side characters more than the main character.
  

  But the story is not only about bullying and gang wars. It is a drama after all and from time to time it scares the hell out of the reader. It got maniacs that developed a trauma and stalkers. There are characters who go through major changes in their personality because they couldn't protect people that they love.
  

  To sum it all, it is straight up to the best drama manga/manhwa I ever read. I have only good things to talk about it and there are no flaws. It's a shame that it is not in the top 10, 20 or even 50 manga list of any website and it one of the mangas who most people haven't read yet. I hope more people read and recognize this hidden masterpiece.

  In short Patience is the key to read this webtoon!! and It's a webtoon that at least once you should check in life..!!!

  Lookism as the name suggest the story's base starts with looks!!!
  And as the story progress writer covers many other topics...

  It has best art style and plot....
  at later arcs the art style somewhat changed or you can say improved bit still its very good!!
  Without any fantasy or super powers...it still have topnotch and badass action. (especially at latest chapters?)
  It covers all genre that connect to reality...
  With every arc it give a very good reality check and we are shown the twisted side of our society.
  With every arc it cover new problems of societies that many times overlooked...

  DON'T WORRY I DIDN'T GIVE ANY MAJOR SPOILER!!
  In this webtoon as you will able to see many realistic and shocking things then you will also able to learn a lot of things^^
  For example in Juvenile and Homeless arc we are shown as two people are in same situation.. and depending their attitude how the results are different...one went to bright and beautiful future and other went direct to hell!!!

  There are many loving characters and of some some characters you'll hate them so much that you will feel to beat them by going inside of the webtoon^^
  And sometime, some people from the webtoon are drawn so creepy that it can scare you!!

  But I like how author focus on every character's story and their development... as MC will not be the main character in every arc but its never lose its sparkle and no lose in story progression still you'll able to enjoy it..
  For Example in Big deal arc the MC is not main character in that arc but big deal's former leader is the main character of that arc.... and that arc is so mind blowing especially the ending?? I remind of Itachi from Naruto!!

  In this webtoon my FAV quote is

  "If the world is unfair to you, then its not your fault. But if you only blaming the world with sitting there without doing anything and without changing yourself , without trying to change others prejudice about you then you are a failure" ….because you are only running away by giving excuses if the world is unfair to you then change it, you have to try harder then other but in the end it will worth it

  Overall Patience is the key to read this webtoon!! like One piece i guess how i was not into it watching its first arcs...but later its proved me wrong...in the later its very impressive,,
  well I guess you can try reading at least 70-80 chapters of the webtoon for the start!!
  I’ve had a really good time reading it^^ I’ve laughed and cried while reading this, I totally recommended this webtoon.
  It's a webtoon that at least once you should check in life... no need to binge read it you take your time reading it!!
