DESCRIPTION
Takeru Ohyama, a young normal yet perverted minded guy, got accepted and now goes to a school that, unknown to him, was where combat and magic is used. On the first day, he meets again after three years: Haruko Amaya, his childhood friend, Inaho Kushiya, a girl who says she's his fiance, and Kodama Himegami, a blonde who wants to kill him. Finding out that there are many girls there that just don't like him, he is told that everyone there uses a special magic ability while using an item or weapon called a Maken. Later, he finds that no Maken is acceptable for him and doesn't know what to do, since in this school the students get into duels that showcase their magic and combat power, to which he seemingly has none.

90/100Give it a chance. It's basically a harem done rightContinue on AniListGive it a chance. Starts out really cliche as classic lame harem with low test protagonist entering a school that has now gone co-ed who soon meets his future sidekick-type-character, both share pervy tastes in women. Not too far in (Like chapter 30), the protagonist loses the glasses, lifts, becomes more chad and way less annoying and the manga drops the "classic harem shenanigans" (i.e. a girl will land on the protagonist's face and you'll get long panty shots followed by mad blushing and a slapping sfx and a pan-up to the sky with the girl yelling "kyaaa") and replaces it with more story and actual humor. If I remember properly the protagonist's sidekick dude kind of falls off from relevancy a bit around the island arc but he comes back with much better humor and an actual backstory and both of them tone it down on the classic harem dude-bro characteristics and responses. These changes occur pretty early on but still take a little reading to get to, but I do believe there being a distinct point where I felt it made these changes all at once; it took me by surprise. This manga makes me feel like Takeda started it as a joke/some shitty harem that he could make a quick buck from or gain popularity but then decided somewhere along the line to put everything he's good at into it, and actually try for a story and good characters, and he succeeds.
The manga isn't bad before this, it's just a really generic harem with a really lame protagonist but with unusually hot girl characters. Takeda's art is some of the best I've ever scene and every girl in this is likable (or at least I like them), or at least has an insanely attractive design, and he keeps adding more as the manga goes on. Could argue they get better. The manga's art is superb the whole time but it does improve as he writes.
The action in this is actually really entertaining and I haven't been bored or felt any fight scene was overdone or redundant with art, flow, or dialogue.
It's interesting seeing the relationships form between the characters and a lot of them have deep history that gets uncovered that connects them to each other more than you'd expect.
The main villain, or so I've been led to believe he is, isn't bad by any means. He definitely isn't the best I've seen but he has some really cool moments. I guess he's kind of similar to Voldemort from Harry Potter? He doesn't seem to have the most interesting of motives but they aren't bad. I'm sure we'll see more of his history because he does have several characters that are deeply connected to him we aren't quite to sure about the matter of their origins with him etc.
Now let's discuss the important stuff
This is without a doubt one of the hottest, most erotic series I've read/watched. You do get uncensored nipples, you get pussy, and you get ass. You get heart pupils, you get a busty teacher giving one on one tutoring, and cosplaying in different outfits, you get bonus "dream sequences" which are basically just full on hentai shorts, you get busty-caring-childhood friend archetype, you get love rivalry, you get swimsuits, gym uniforms, everything. All in top notch art (just check out some of Takeda's doujinshi).
It's basically a harem done right
Update 6/26/2017
Had just got up to whatever has been translated. Can say that it only gets (way) more erotic, and more action packed. It DOES seem like Takeda is wrapping it up though, but I could also be way off. Which I'm really hoping is the case, it seems like he is going to have a lot more content to work with if he chooses elongate the manga. If you've read Claymore, SPOOOOOILLLLEEEEERRRSSS to me, it seems like its getting to the point where there's the battle with the 12(?) Claymores, and you kind of presume them dead, but they just went in to hiding because the Organization was after them. So I'm really hoping this "great battle" the characters are heading to is just an introduction to an evolution of the world and 100+ more chapters. Takeda starts stacking on the extra chapters (which are borderline porn with the characters) like mad in the later chapters. They get closer and closer to straight up porn too, very exciting.Although yeah the ecchi is important, the actual plot and characters keep getting more interesting and exciting, believe me. It's very enjoyable, and surprising. I'm sure there are countless people who dismiss this because it's pretty much a bland harem in the beginning, or it just looks like ecchi trash on the surface. It's not. (I sound really gay right now)
