DESCRIPTION
Sawada Tsunayoshi is regular boy who has never excelled in sports, school or social life, thus being named "No Good Tsuna". Everyday, he leads just a normal life, living with his mother, while his father is away for work. But the thing Tsunayoshi doesn't know is that his family is actual lineage of the great Mafia Boss, the first head of Vongola, Giotto.
Because of the Sawada history, Tsuna has been chosen to become tenth head of the Vongola family, an infamous Italian mafia family which rules the Mafia world. To become worthy of the title, Tsuna is being aided by professional hitman and infant, Reborn, who takes the role of Tsunayoshi's mafia tutor.

An Underrated Shonen ClassicContinue on AniListSurprised to see that there is no manga review for Katekyo Hitman Reborn,so thought I'll write one.
Katekyo Hitman Reborn or simply known as Reborn! is a shonen manga series serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine from 24 May 2004 to 12 November 2012 with a total of 409 chapters collected in 42 volumes written and illustrated by Akira Amano.

STORY-7/10
Reborn! follows the story of a boy called Tsunayoshi Sawada who is sort of definition of a loser in life, he is not good at sports, study or anything to the point his nickname became No-good Tsuna. Suddenly, one day a "Baby" or an infant named Reborn comes to his house and says he is his mentor and from now on he will groom Tsuna to become the 10th Leader of the Vongola Famiglia, an Italian Mafia group.He then recruits members to assist Tsuna and complete the 10th Generation of the family.The story has a very battle shounen feel to it,but very enjoyable.It is divided into 6 major arcs-Daily life, Kokuyo Arc, Varia Arc, Future Arc, Inheritance Arc, Curse of the Rainbow.
The manga starts off as a gag manga with sort of childish humor,not for people of our age tbh.Make it through the first 61 chapters and it gets better and better.Almost all arcs revolve around hardships Tsuna faces as the future leader of the family,Varia arc is a tournament arc that gained this manga the popularity it has and deserves, Future Arc is the most popular and the name is pretty self explanatory, Inheritance arc is my favourite arc, introduces a new family and a beautiful backstory sub-arc,the last arc revolves around Reborn.
CAST-9.5/10
The Main Cast is the strongest point of the series.The cast is very fun to watch,whatever they do,fight,laugh,hangout whatever,it's always something you'll like and not get tired of.And after a long time of when you see them get stronger, it's so satisfying to watch.The main cast is basically the 7 members of the Vongola family and their trusted Assassin Reborn.
There are also other likeable and enjoyable characters and the antagonist are pretty good too.
_Varia_Varia is the secret assassination squad of the Vongola Famiglia.They work independently but for welfare of the family nonetheless.Everyone is true to their assassin name, they are rough,brutal,egoistic yet extremely loyal to their leader Xanxus.They play a big role in the whole story.
_Millefiore Famiglia_They're an antagonist group for the future arc.Don't wanna go to spoiler territory but they are pretty good and enjoyable too.
_Simon Family_They play a huge role in the series for the last 2 arcs
And a bunch of other characters.
ART-9/10
I absolutely adore the art style of the series.It's simply beautiful.The art is very good too but there is only 1 scan available online ig so it doesn't fully express the art but it's still consumable.
Akira Amano is also the character designer for the Psycho pass series,her art is amazing.10/10
ENJOYMENT-10/10
It is a very enjoyable series from start to finish,a wild ride.I enjoyed this series to the fullest.Great fights with a very well handled power system and characters make the series a fun and enjoyable one.
There are still some things I need to address.I wanted more of Reborn! before it ended because it had so much room for expanding the story, the author could've done soooo much woth the cast and by using the plot points she had established...the ending although not bad, made me feel empty.For such a well handled power system,the fights are underwhelming at some parts of the series.But still it's a great series for what it has to offer before that,definitely worth the read.I won't call it generic or formulaic since it came out in 2004, it didn't age like fine wine, but still has something to offer.
But
The cast is so good and lovable that you'll just cheer them when they get a powerup and forget about any other problem with the series and take a deep breath when our heroes win.
ALSO CAN WE NOT FORGET THE FACT THAT WE DIDN'T GET TO SEE 10 YEARS LATER VONGOLA DECIMO TSUNA????!
This OST is iconic and fucking slaps.Now read the series or watch it.
