DESCRIPTION
After the victory against Aoba Jousai High, Karasuno High School, once called “a fallen powerhouse, a crow that can’t fly,” has finally reached the climax of the heated Spring tournament. Now, to advance to nationals, the Karasuno team has to defeat the powerhouse Shiratorizawa Academy. Karasuno’s greatest hurdle is their adversary’s ace, Wakatoshi Ushijima, the number one player in the Miyagi Prefecture, and one of the country’s top three aces.
Only the strongest team will make it to the national tournament. Since this match is the third-year players’ last chance to qualify for nationals, Karasuno has to use everything they learned during the training camp and prior matches to attain victory. Filled with restlessness and excitement, both teams are determined to come out on top in the third season of Haikyuu!!.

Haikyuu! Season 3 is the best season (excluding season 4)Continue on AniListAfter a final 3 hour binge of Haikyuu season 3 I can say that there are lots of things that I enjoyed about it. I'd say that season 3 is the ____strongest____ and the ____best____ season we've seen so far. (excluding season 4 since I haven't watched it yet) as this is my first ever review and I'm very new to this I'll just be pointing out some things that I liked about this season. >____Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa____<img width='220' src='https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/haikyuu/images/d/d9/S3E5.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/340?cb=20161116111929'> Something that this season does that I've never seen any other anime do is have this full season revolve around 1 match. The full 10 episodes that we watch is all being taken place in 1 single volleyball match. It impressed me on how good they were able to capture my attention during this season because when I first watched the first episode of this season I thought that it would feel boring, extremely stretched out for the sake of it; this could be further from the truth. Although I've never been to a volleyball match nor ever watched one before, the way they structure the episodes truly makes it feel like you are watching a legitimate volleyball match. It makes it so you feel the urge to cheer on Karasuno when they're about to pull a quick attack. >____Tsukishima's time to shine____<img width='220' src='https://pm1.narvii.com/6269/f364402f7de6937e72888e936f8b333ae8ec5c2e_hq.jpg'> For those who haven't seen this season yet I will put a spoiler for anything you don't wanna know yet. This season was the pinnacle of Tsukishima's character development. Not only is he the character who got the most character development this season; this is also the most character development he's gotten ____in the entire anime so far.____ <span class='markdown_spoiler'><span>Tsukishima was the reason they won this match. Hell the show even points it out! Not only did he handle his pinky bleeding ____like a champ____ he also constructed the plan for the team and told them small tweaks that helped their performance in the game. He learned to readblock amazingly and became a better player overall; But most importantly he finally found his reason to love volleyball.</span></span> He started out as a cynical bastard who had no drive to succeed in the first season but finally got his shot of motivation in this season. >____Plot Armor???____<img width='220' src='https://www.thecinemaholic.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Haikyuu-2014--1280x500.jpg'> This season had __no__ plot armor. None, nada, zilch. Why am I even mentioning this in my review though? Let's be honest I'm not the only who thought that they would have just a sliver of plot armor in this fight. If a school who hasn't had a good team in years suddenly comes face to face with a team that's known for strength and skill then they're probably gonna get their asses handed to them and that's not to say that they didn't get absolutely destroyed from time to time but as I said above it really does feel like your watching a real match play out. There were several times where you thought that all hope was lost; But they kept pushing and pushing. >__Final Thoughts__<img width='220' src='https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/user/avatar/large/b553406-wf7lpO0BOsEO.jpg'> Honestly if you haven't watched Haikyuu season 3 then I'd definitely recommend it (especially because it came out in 2016) It has so many amazing points that your kinda missing out if you don't.

After the end of the legendary confront between Karasuno and Aoba Johsai, Haikyuu needs to deliever to their viewers something as monumental as last match, and dear god, they have done it. While the rivalry isn't as strong compared with the last team, Haikyuu builds weight by showing characters past and their motivations to win, and stay in the court even more.
Characters: 100/100
Haikyuu's cast of characters is among one of the best i have ever seen. While they are all likeable in a certein way, they also have some depth, and develops with the pass of the episodes.

Tsukishima: i can't talk about character development without mentioning Tsukishima, the MVP of the match. He was being incredibly well developed until this point, where he finally starts to view volleyball in a different and more positive way, and accepts that he loves the sport.

Almost every other member of Karasuno: It is truly amazing how every character got some good screen time in this season, Tanaka and the third years using their maximum effort to reach the nationals, Hinata and Kageyama trying to prove their points to Ushijima, Yamaguchi becoming even more brave and Nishinoya surpassing his limits like never.

The antagonists: Ushijima, Washijou and Satori are all great characters. Washijou establish a amazing parallel wiith Hinata. Ushijima and Satori builds an interesting competition against Hinata and Tsukishima.
Art: 100/100
Astonishing animation. Probalby the best work from Productions IG.
Sound: 100/100
Absolute incredible soundtrack and sound effects, it's just impossible to not be hyped with the music. My personal favorite is 'The battle of concepts'.
Enjoyment: 100/100
I really could not get my eyes of the screen. Every second of this season was engaging in some way, either it being with badass scenes or with emocional moments. Something that i would like to point out, is that the direction and characters personality fits perfectally this match, it doesn't get to serious or to playfull, it's the perfect balance between ton and atmosphere, which is incredible in my eyes, since the pacing was perfect for a match that lasted 10 episodes.
Overall: 100/100
This anime is truly special for me, and this season is a miraculous experience i would say. I hope you enjoyed reading this review, have a nice day!
