A fun hentai that ends way too soon.
"Itadaki! Seieki" (Eng: "Vampire Vixen" or "Gimmie That Semen!") seems to have gained a lot of popularity over the years, particularly being featured more preeminently in those out-of-context subtitle memes where you know the image is from porn, but don't want to seem too desperate to ask for a source, and are just glad that someone did it in the comments so you didn't have to. Or is that just me? I digress. Is this actually worth tracking down and watching, that's the question. Let's have a look shall we.

When Kanzaki gets his first love note from a cute girl in class, he's not sure what will happen. But the last thing he expects is that his secret admirer, Mari Setagoya, turns out to be a vampire, and not a very good one at that, since she can't stand the taste of raw blood, which she admits to after knocking him out (why bother if you're going to try and talk to him after). So she usually compromises by drinking other bodily fluids. I think we all know where this is going.

All of the dialogue, both in the English and Japanese dubs, is pretty amusing, so if you're looking for a hentai that's more on the fun side, you should probably check this out if you already haven't. The special that comes with this is so short (roughly 4 minutes long, which is why I'm including it in this review) that I'm surprised that it's not just part of the episode, since this is a hentai that's going straight to DVD anyway, so it's not like it has to adhere to any broadcast standards.

The sex scenes are pretty good, and are a lot of fun to watch. Surprisingly, I found that all of them are worth watching, and I didn't see a single one that I didn't like. So maybe if you're looking for something for a longer wank session, this might be one to check out.

I just wish there was more of it, and that reflects on something pretty well when it's ended and you're begging for more of it, and this could certainly do with at least one more episode. And the manga that this is based on certainly seems to have a lot more to adapt, so here's hoping. It's difficult to find a hentai that's straight up fun, so you have to find whatever you can, and "Itadaki! Seieki" definitely fits that bill. This hentai gets a two thumbs up from me.

Fapped for the memes - truly the greatest red headed meme queen succubus of our generation
Ah here we are, the one true red headed succubus queen. Itadaki Seieki is a show that is in the catalogue of most veteran hentai viewers and is absolutely a must watch for the uninitiated. What makes it so popular is it’s friendly and welcoming appearance that any weeb can open up and fap to with ease and no regret (which is hard to say for most hentai). Furthermore, the tone and comedic moments bring a rare quality to this hentai you won’t see in most hentai - personality. Rarely does hentai become so popular that it sneaks its way into meme culture, but even people who don’t watch hentai and stick to the light side, anime, will have seen our mischievous red-headed succubus in their memes.
__Story : 7__
Clearly this isn’t some deep profound hentai exploring the human psyche or a thought experiment on the bounds of morality, it is just a goofy hentai that doesn’t take itself too seriously and is pure fun. So if you’re expecting a plot with themes connecting to the works of Socrates or Plato, then you’d be sorely disappointed, however the self-awareness of Itadaki Seieki reflects in it’s straightforward plot giving us tons of great character interaction and enough sex to meet the hentai quota we came for. While the plot isn’t exactly the greatest, it doesn’t fall flat either and acts as a vehicle to deliver some entertaining comedy through character dialogue.
__Art and Animation : 8__
Part of the show’s comedy lives or dies by its art which it delivered upon completely. The concept of a succubus changing their body to accommodate their victim is nothing new and was executed fine however what impressed me more was the facial expression work which very clearly reflected the change in demeanor of Mari.

Besides the sex, the moments in between where Mari and MC-kun interacted had some good comedic back and forth however what sold the moment was ultimately the different art style which captured the comedic energy of the characters. Even outside these scenes, the smaller character interactions with comedic character expression shifts helped keep this comedic tone even in the slightly darker scenes.
__Characters : 8__
I absolutely adore Mari as anyone does in this show and especially how her personality clashes with MC-kun’s more straightforward and virgin attitude. This character dynamic is elevated by the author’s usage of Mari’s succubus characteristics keeping the episode interesting with our MC’s evolution in sexual confidence as well as Mari acting as sort of an insight into the desires of MC-kun, watching as their bond strengthens.
__Hentai Difficulty : Easy__
This is one of the easiest hentai to recommend to anyone without making you seem like some kind of freak. There is the lightest amount of rape I’ve ever seen in a hentai and it’s honestly wild how restraint the author was in putting fucked up shit into the hentai given the limitless potential of a succubus. Honestly, they called it rape but it seemed like the most consenting and in control rape I’ve ever seen so it wouldn’t be a stretch to call this a vanilla hentai.
__Conclusion__
Itadaki Seieki can be described simply as an ‘alright hentai’. It never offended anyone, was produced well enough and had great comedic moments which were entertaining by hentai standards. What disappoints me is that the concept was sort of wasted here as I’m sure that other hentai have utilized the succubus character more creatively than this hentai. It most certainly never left me bored and no one should ever complain about good vanilla hentai but perhaps it was too vanilla for my tastes. Obviously hindsight is 20/20, however adding a little spice to the show would’ve made it much better and by that I don’t mean the fucked up monstrous, dehumanizing, moral-shattering shit but more like a little experimentation in the bedroom given the supernatural element. I still think it’s worth the fap and at the very least you’d do it for the meme right?
