DESCRIPTION
There are far worse things than having to deal with your ex-boyfriend's little sister or your older brother's ex-girlfriend. But that's something Karada Iokawa and Shoko Nogami have to learn the hard way when a magic wishing stone inexplicably grants Karada's wish to be older - and does it by stealing the years from Shoko! Now Shoko, who's already graduated and studied overseas, is Karada's age, just about to enter junior high school. Meanwhile Karada must suddenly face the real facts about what being grown up entails. And just to make a bizarre situation even more awkward, there's the issue of how to handle their existing romantic interests!

REVIEWS
Tubasas
99/100Experience and Age are different that greatly delineates strides of life and maturity.Continue on AniListI’m Tubasas and I’m 14 years old the time I made this review. Now, why would I even start with this statement? Time flies, seconds passed as you even read that sentence before this. I now love Asatte no Houkou, it’s a simple yet inspiring story set in a Coming of Age feel.
Are you part of the youth now, or are you sacrificing for your adulthood? Do you want to grow up already and say “I want to be an adult, and become not a burden anymore to anyone else.” or do you wish to be a child again and redo all your selfishness and make minimal to no mistakes? Wishes can be powerful whether they come true or not, or whether they’re from luck or misfortune. The series follows up to those mysterious questions, even conflicts. It’s not that simple to be different in a matter of seconds. Think of it as your first part-time job and you still don’t know your agenda yet everyone rushing you to work, and work.
Growing up is crucial to people like us, obviously. Infancy, Childhood, Adolescence, Adulthood and the Elderly are probably the stages of human life, though I don’t know what’s before Infancy so don’t think of me as someone who works in the medical field. Asatte no Houkou fantastically portrays that indirectly in the series. Even simple statements such as “A resume?” or “This isn’t me” greatly tells you that being someone isn’t as easy, much as like being a celebrity isn’t as easy just from looking them in the television.
What I’ve said reflects upon Karade and Shōko who thought in a parallel sense. Karade, who’s going to be a junior high school student, disagrees of her being called a child due to her very petite stature yet a kind-hearted responsible person who’d look like she’s ready to live independently. You might think that Shōko has an entirely different idea in mind, but it’s not opposite of Karade’s; you’ll find out eventually that it was a different aim for her sake. Karade’s wish is simply to become independent to end sacrifices to her sake.
In the end of her wish, it was horribly/difficult for Karade to get used to. It’s difficult that you can die of confusion, or even intellectual death; not knowing everything. Shōko on the other hand has everything an adult knows or needs, which in turn gives everything irony. Adulthood is not that easy as pie, it’s just how you see and it’s difficult as yourself as an infant learning the most basic parts of life, like language for instance. Experience and Age are two different paces of reality, that only just applies to one out of many important values, Maturity.
It’s not that easy to jump incredibly high. Accept everyone’s kindness that they’ve given to you and cherish every step of your life. Not everything looks easy, because everything starts from difficulty. Do not be in a hurry to grow up so badly, take your time. You’d soon find out that living through all the years is worth for your age means. And if you’re already an adult, don’t give up and try your best on everything you can do. Don’t look backwards, rather than forwards, because challenges awaits you quickly enough. Look through your mistakes as a lesson to improve and not something to regret every moment you do. Live on, tick and tock.
Though I wish they bundled more episodes because the ending is quite a little confusing for me, it’s truly heartwarming to watch it. It’s a journey of reflection and decisions worth a shot whether or not you’ll face reality or jump beyond the boundary of reality. It’s something reached for but cannot be grasped, something that strays from that hand, going far away. People will always pursue such things, And before long, become lost. This is their story on one such summer.
