DESCRIPTION
Zephyr is the last human fighting evil in a world abandoned by the gods. When he is killed in battle by Tartarus, the god of destruction, all hope for humanity seems lost. But Zephyr’s fate is not sealed — the gods who find his battles entertaining have gifted him a second chance at life, as he is sent ten years into the past, back to when he was a slave instead of the most powerful human alive. Can Zephyr get his revenge against Tartarus and save the woman he loves, or is he doomed to repeat the past?

1/100Failure of Humanity's saviourContinue on AniListI had great expectations on this series seeing the art but it was a disaster. MC is shown as humanity's saviour(he himself thinks that too) but not once did he do anything suggesting that, he just values the ability of people to use them or abandon them. And humanity itself is shown with lots of corruption. Then he blames Gods for everything! The only point is that they dont stop Demon god nor side with him so it may not be wrong for Humans to hate them but still I don't think it is at the point of blaming everything on them tho when they still give skills etc to those who are worthy.
Just because Gods view humans as entertainment, he blames their every misfortune on them. He seems to think Gods should help the humans as if it is their duty. For example, Gods stopped giving priests holy magic and he thinks this as betrayal towards humans but not once the story showed humans as beings to be saved, the series itself shows the church and its workings, not a single thing there is shown worthy of being holy. It was nothing but a money extortion organization that makes a profit based on faith. They have slavery, torture and illegal selling of monster parts etc but they should get to use Holy magic? I wonder why even they get to use Holy magic till it was taken away. Even the system in the church makes them spend even more money before they can pay off their debts.
The Gods had gone out of their way to give MC some skills which are very hard to get otherwise. Even if he is not thankful for that at least he should not outright curse them. They might have given those skills for better fights to spectate but they are still useful for the MC.
One of the skills he got from a god needs him to pay price when used but he found some loophole to escape it, but he seems to "Serves you right for trying to making me pay my life force" when he just cheated the God who gave him a power which the God had never forced MC to use, But he himself used the power for his own reasons and then blames that God as if he was extorting from MC by force and is evil for doing so. Does he think they should give him everything for free? And if he did reach the end without such skills in previous life I don't see why he needs them now.
All in all, MC is an asshole who judges others based on what good they would do for him but thinks he is the righteous one (Which makes him a big hypocrite). Apart from fighting against some villains, I didn't see anything he did for the better survival of humanity. The manhwa just makes Gods look like evil to make him look good. Can be a good read for those who don't care about the story settings but just want to see good art and fights along with a Demon lord vs Hero type of story.

95/100The strongest human fail to save humanity and get a second chance to save the ones he love and take revenge on the godsContinue on AniListA man who goes against the gods to save humanity and take revenge, not something special at first look (almost every manhua/manhwa is like that), but after some chapters you realize that its actually worth your time.
Well im not gonna lie the reason that i started reading it was just to get some coins in webtoon, but even i was suprised when i found myself keep reading it a long after i already claimed my coins,
the main character is indeed badass and powerful but the best thing is that he is not too overpowered what gives you feels of tension, and also let you get hyped when he win the fight but dont get me wrong, he was the strongest human and even fought with the gods, what happens is that he got himself back in time to when he was still a weak slave, but there is a twist, this time he got some stuff that will help him get much stronger than before and much faster (what also get him in a lot of troubles, we all know that when you got unordinary power you will always get some unwanted eyes on every step that you does) and he also know everything of what happend in the past so he can use it, so this time he may claim his goal to save the people that he loves and defeat the gods (who are looking at him as something that made just to entertain them).
This manhua doesn't lack by anything, there are a lot of tough fighs, demons, evil groups, (cute priests), strong monsters, and whatever action manhua needs, so if you like solo leveling or any other manhua like that this one for you (of course this kind of plot became hackneyed but this one doesn't give you these feelings, trust me).And one more good thing is that the art is great so the fights are amazing and there are plenty of side characters with a good made background and personality, so even if you didn't like it for some reason (impossible) there is no way that you wont enjoy reading it.
I think the author did a really good job by writing it (there is a lot of stuff that takes a lot of think and creativity and he success to do it without losing the main plot, the main character is very wise and always got plan B when things go bad and never lose his cool), so i gave it 95/100 (not for nothing though, i think its one of the best in this genre, probably will get popular soon when it get known by people, this is still new).If it wasn't enough for you to go and read it then its probably my fault (didn't want to spoil though so couldn't say much), so dont miss this and give it a chance, you will thank me later, go and read it in webtoon i pretty sure the creator upload it there and there are no ads or something like that, (they didn't pay me i swear, and the comments are funny though).

55/100Expected an adventurous masterpeice, but got a mediocre fantasy/actionContinue on AniListLooking at the massive response to this manhwa, I was expecting a blood-chilling action manhwa filled with despair, struggle and eventual triumph.
Alas...THE SETTING
This manhwa does an okay job for its genre in making the initial setting - the end of the world. But the afterlife part and the regression left many things unclear; like the reasons for the moral bankruptcy of the temple and the general state of degradation of the world. The part about the Gods added a level of mystery, which was good.
THE PLOT AND STRUCTURE
The very first chapter, which should have shown the MC's lowest point and his utter despair, just fell flat. And that is just the start.
At no point in the entire storyline did we, as readers, have to root for Zephyr, because it is clear that he is stronger than the whatever he is facing right now.
The allegiance and trust of his comrades were won too easily. This was a bit of an overkill, even for our OP hero.
The past memories could have served as a great plot device - the unreliable memories making MC's life difficult, the ripple effect causing unintended consequences for the team, etc. But it was not meant to be. The MC conveniently remembers every minute detail about everything that happened in his previous life, even the exact way to move to defeat a particular enemy. Maybe the MC has an eidetic memory, or it could be a skill. Who knows?! The author certainly didn't bother to clarify such things. The other characters don't even think to question all of the suspiciuosly precise info he is giving them or ask where he got them from. They just follow the hero blindly.
The plot and the story structure suffered a lot. The plot remained predictable throughout and there was no real build-up to the story. The conflicts seemed minor than they should have been to the readers because there was no real struggle or despair.
THE MAIN CHARACTER
We do not start by seeing the humble beginnings of a relatable character. No... we are introduced to the hero, the last-standing warrior, the savior of humankind (implied), being cruelly defeated by a demon god, who then proceeds to sing praises of our MC and asks to join him. After all of that awesomeness, our MC regresses with more fantastic powers bestowed by the Gods, because to them the MC was "interesting" and "not like the other guys."
There is nothing wrong with being OP; it is just that the vast majority of people (sans the ones with God complex), cannot relate to such a charcter.
The way our MC acts - all high and mighty, may irritate you at times. But this is somewhat justified. People who go through a series of horrible things, like the MC, become f*cked up in the head. So MC's whole "Daddier-than-thou" vibe is forgiveable, but is high-key cringe.
Finally, the readers don't know the MC. Why does our MC have this strong need to save the entire world on his own? Is it because he was grieving his love? Or does he have the Messiah complex? What does he feel about the evils done by the humans in power, particularly the temple? Even after 80+ chapters, we still know next to nothing about the MC.
OTHER CHARACTERS
Most characters have minor roles and we know only the basics about them.
The only character I liked till now is Ned. His backstory and character development was good. But the story didn't delve into the internal struggles and the trust issues that Ned most likely had. It got swept under the current of the next impending conflict. Also, Ned and Dame Ophelia seem to be the only promising couple in the story.
Speaking of couples...
ROMANTIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE LEADS... NOT THE BEST
The princess believes him too easily about their past relationship (in another life) and they bed each other pretty fast. Just like that, they are a couple - with zero build-up. I don't know about guys, but no adult woman with immense responsibilities like that of the Princess, would jump into something so fast. There are just too many things at stake.
If the manhwa had a romance tag anywhere near its vicinty, this would have been sacrilegous. And since it doesn't, let us meet in the middle and agree it was in poor taste.
AND THE VILLAINS
Oh! the poor villains. The evil group is just made up of your everyday corrupt people who were dissatisfied with how the people in power blatantly abused the weak and the poor. And there are a lot of them. Most just had sad circumstances, mostly caused by the temple. Haven't seen a truly evil enemy yet.
This could have been a great opportunity to show our MC struggle with morality, his sense of right and wrong. But, alas. He just goes and crushes the heads of all those sad villains to get to the truly evil bug.
(-_-) /~~~And that first demon god was a total joke. His stupid actions led to our MC getting this 2nd chance, which I'm sure the MC will fully make use of, by whooping that demon's sad behind.
Hoping atleast the ones at the top of the evil organization don't disappoint. Till now, the Gods were the only ones complex enough to show any real potential for evil.
BEST FEATURE: THE ART
The art is really good and the action scenes are superb. The art style suited the genre very well. Although some scenes were a little hard to make out, like the POV was a little unclear in the midst of some battles, most scenes were precise and clear.
The characters are all very good-looking. Even the women were drawn respectably and the fan-service type portrayal of women were few and far between.
