DESCRIPTION
Even as a working adult, Sarasa Ichinokura suffers from an unshakable fatigue that’s plagued her since childhood. She goes to bed one night, exhausted from her office job, and encounters a goddess(?) who informs her that her perpetual lack of energy is actually due to a deficit of “mana.” Then, without any further explanation or time to process what’s happening to her, Sarasa is thrust into a fantasy world! She awakens in the body of a ten-year-old girl in a strange land filled with flying beasts and oversized wolves. She accordingly prepares for the worst, but a monster hunter named Nelly takes her in. The hitch is...now that Sarasa finally has the energy to do everything she wants to, being cooped up in a cabin is just no fun! She seeks to stand on her own in this scary new world—and that’s going to mean learning magic. It may be slow going, but Sarasa knows what to do—the best way to take her reincarnation is one step at a time!

65/100Good on wolves, but honestly I wish she were good on adults too.Continue on AniListThis novel is honestly a bit infuriating, because everyone is so dumb. The writing is actually pretty nice, and the characters end up being likeable. I also love the art a lot. But god, it's like nobody has any kind of common sense here. Everyone treats the main character as a tool, deciding everything for her and not listening to her input whatsoever, and she usually accepts it because "she's an adult on the inside". Most drama comes from a severe lack of communication. It's also incredibly weird that there seems to be no law system in this world, through the series you see a lot of people doing shit that could have others killed very easily, and they don't get any kind of punishment whatsoever. Honestly, this is just the japanese mentality of being 100% passive all of the time with everything that happens around you and just accepting it because that's how it is. Fortunately, the protagonist does mature a bit through the volumes and ends up speaking her mind quite a bit after a lot of shit. Unfortunately, it really doesn't matter at all, because EVERY adult in this novel is so hard-headed and won't listen to a word she has to say at all. I love all the charas that are around the MC's age, they're really well written and likeable and you just wish the best to them, but then everyone else is either stupid dumb, single minded and won't even give you the time of the day, or straight-up an asshole.
And well, I really don't understand why everyone thinks they can do whatever they want with the protagonist. She could theoretically burn the whole kingdom to ashes if she felt like it, and it wouldn't even be that hard because just slight changes to the environment already make life hell for most towns, so people thinking that she has to do what they say is what baffles me the most. They can't even hurt her, she has a repel barrier around her at all times, and they honestly can't do much to the people she loves because they're all incredibly strong too. I sometimes really hate the japanese mentality so much of being a wimpy yes-man.
Going back to the common sense bit, people here have a lot of magical tools you see in other isekais but they don't use them properly. The MC points this out several times throughout the series, but they just go "ohhh that'd be cool" but they don't do it anyway. A mystery.
Overall, I think this novel is just a shame, because it has its moments that are really, really good but most of the time you just have to deal with stupid nobles being absolute pieces of shit to the main character just because she's kind and doesn't say no, when usually people like her are treated like princesses.
Anyway, I'm on volume 6 and I just hope they stop dealing with shitty nobles and go to the mountain with the wolves, because honestly it's so much fun with them rather than with people.
