90/100Cute and very wholesome, with nice art.Continue on AniListUranaishi no Nayamigoto/Troubles of a Fortune Teller is a simple story about a female fortune teller (Uranai Shouko) and one of his clients, a little boy.
The boy (Mizuno Haru) has fallen in love with Shouko, and confesses to her, but Shouko, even though she seems to like little boys, tries to reject him because, well, he is a minor, and she says adults shouldn't like them. What follows are funny and wholesome interactions between the two of them; Haru trying to make her tell him if she likes him or not and Shouko trying to avoid answering him, even if it seems she may be having feelings for him too. Shouko's magic ball (doesn't speak) acts as Haru's wingman, taking every opportunity to give hope about Shouko's feelings to the boy by confirming that she does like young boys. Thing which Shouko denies, of course, but the ball will find new ways to support the boy. (The ball does not talk by the way.)
Each meeting between them usually involves some new fortune telling game and schemes (by Haru to make Shouko like him or at least know if she does, and by Shouko to drive Haru away), and they even go to different places like the park, to the street, they make a videocall from each other's house... Going to other places also means there are other people, which make Shouko more aware, but also features even younger (than Haru) boys that make her go crazy (in the style of people who find children adorable, not romantic wise), which makes Haru get jealous and try to regain Shouko's attention.
(Some spoilers about the story development (not the ending), though it's pretty much obvious.) Little by little, Shouko, while still denying liking the Haru, starts to openly like his company and they even do some games which involve holding each other's hand and stuff like that, to which blushing situations arise with each chapter.
There's not much more to it. If you like wholesome and cute stories, you'll enjoy it. If you don't, there's nothing here that will make you stay.
The art isn't outstanding but it isn't bad at all, just simple and cute; it's the perfect match for this story, although it could be better. But the faces are usually nicely done, specially Shouko's.
The characters aren't much complex or anything, but their interactions are very funny and entertaining. There's also the magic ball (for fortune telling) which acts on its own trying to make the 2 main characters get together. The perfect wingman.
Lastly, the manga is very short (it is finished with 2 volumes, 29 chapters) 10 pages per chapter, each chapter being a different meeting between them (kinda SoL). There are 29 chapters but only half of them have been translated, but you can at least find the raws. You can find the artist, Rasupe, on Twitter at @akin999 (they make some NSFW stuff (though usually censored), so be careful if you don't like those things).
I recommend this to anyone who wants a short, wholesome and cute read.
