DESCRIPTION
Tai is now a university student, living alone, working hard at school, and working every day, but with his future still undecided. Meanwhile, Matt and others continue to work on Digimon incidents and activities that help people with their partner Digimon. When an unprecedented phenomenon occurs, the DigiDestined discover that when they grow up, their relationship with their partner Digimon will come closer to an end.
As a countdown timer activates on the Digivice, they realize that the more they fight with their partner Digimon, the faster their bond breaks. Will they fight for others and lose their partner? The time to choose and decide is approaching fast. There is a short time before “chosen children” will become adults. This is the last adventure of Tai and Agumon.

100/100Last Evolution Kizuna is the bittersweet farewell to the beautiful 20-year journey.Continue on AniListDisclaimer: I genuinely believe that this movie is a 10 in my heart, but that is with a lot of bias as a Digimon fan. Still, if you're in any way a fan of the original series, this is easily a solid 8/10.
Last Evolution Kizuna bids farewell to 20-year Digimon Adventure that has been a huge part of my life. I loved the original Digimon series so much, and have rewatched it countless times. I wanted to watch this for so long but a part of me held back, I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Digimon.
The plot was mature for a Digimon series but still simple to follow, and I liked it. They knew the audience of the original Digimon series had matured along with the series over the years and this storyline was really great. It focused on the digi-destined, particularly Taichi and Yamato, as they are entering adulthood, have to decide what they want to do with their lives.
Animation was pretty good too, the art was great, much better than try in terms of the character designs in my opinion, and generally it was pleasing to the eyes to watch.
I loved the many variations to the older theme songs so much, and that's essentially what this film was, a tribute to the original series, and it does it so well. It's been 20 years and which Digimon fan doesn't start singing along when they hear Butterfly, or when Brave Heart starts during the digivolution sequeuences?
If you're a fan of Taichi and Yamato, then this film is perfect for you, as it places so much more emphasis on our two heroes than the rest of the digi-destined. I'm sure many others probably thing the same way, but the two have been the leaders of the series, and I loved going through this with them.
After disappointments in the Tri. series, this film was a bittersweet conclusion to the Adventure series, and I loved every bit of it. At the start I was screaming in excitement seeing tributes to the original movie in the fight against Parrotmon, and by the end I was bawling my eyes out. I easily tear up when watching shows but I don't remember the last time I genuinely cried, tears flowing non-stop and nose running. I couldn't believe it, this was really the end, or is it? While the story seems to have wrapped up nicely, like Taichi and Yamato, I still hang onto any hope that there will be a sequel to this, as I'll take any Digimon content I get.
Midway through the movie, Gennai makes an appearance and mentions that, possibly, if there is still potential in the digi-destined then their partners could possibly come back? I'm not sure how important this detail is, but I genuinely hope that it is a possibility.
I'm not ready to say goodbye yet, but thank you Digimon Adventure, for everything.
If you're a fan of the Digimon series in any way, this is worth the watch.

100/100A story which outlines just how much better it is compared to the Pokémon animeContinue on AniList___ ** WARNING** **I will be writing spoilers in this review so don't read if you haven't seen it** ___
I always looked at Digimon since childhood as the weaker Pokémon. Here I am knowing how wrong I was. I'm going to be focusing on 3 elements in this review Story, Characters and the Songs. This is my first review so I'm new at this hopefully it's ok. ___ __Story:__ This was by far one of the best movies I have watched, this is strengthened because of the Journey all DigiDestined take. From when it started in Digimon Adventure to 02 through the Tri. movies and finally Last Evolution Kizuna. Though I haven't been an OG Digmon watcher it still hits no matter what. First of all, it brings back Parrotmon which appeared in Digimon: The Movie to start of. And the tragic story that all with a Digimon go through is what happens at the gate of becoming an adult and the end of their adolescence. The fact that they will have to part as soon as the timer goes down hurt my heart and the quenching goodbye signalling the end to this story is why I love this movie. ___ __Characters:__ Taichi, Yamato, Koushiro, Sora, Mimi, Jou, Takeru and Hikari have all grown up and look so amazing. But Agumon, Gabumon, Tentomon, Piyomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patumon and Tailmon still look like their cute selves. And the cast of Digimon Adventure 02 are here to which just adds to the reunion and the emotions that can be felt seeing them interact altogether again. ___ __Op, Ed, and OST:__ One thing that caught me was that in the fight with Parrotmon the original 'Butterfly' from Digimon Adventure played and though I like Koji Wada's version of 'Butterfly' more in the Tri. movies. This was to add more nostalgia to those who watched Digimon Adventure back then. **Butter-fly** The ending was so beautiful that it made it harder to cope with after the farewells to Agumon and Gabumon and now every time I think of this ending I think of the end of our adolescence and the start to adulthood and the times we had growing up and how we should never forget the times we had just as Taichi and Yamato did. **Hanareteite mo** Sono Saki-e is one of my favourite OSTs of all time I've decided. I just loved how this plays as Taichi, Agumon, Yamoto and Garumon fight their final battle. I will never forget the Final Digivolution, Last Evolution Kizuna. **Sono Saki-e** ___ Animation: 8.5/10, Characters: 9/10 Plot: 10/10 Pace: 9.5/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Overall: 10/10 "Hey, Tai... What will you do...? Tomorrow? Hey, Matt... What will you do...? Tomorrow?"

100/100A wonderful sequel movie for fans that have grown up, and not onlyContinue on AniListDigimon Adventure is a 1999 kids anime show. Twenty years later, it has become a classic so Toei decides to give us - people who most likely watched this show as kids - a huge dose of nostalgia and a beautiful end of story. But, surprisingly, Last Evolution Kizuna is much more than that. It is a movie full of allegory, passion and all kinds of emotions. And definitely far from a kids movie; it is aimed at a mature audience. It is a unique, flawless piece of art that will stay in our Digimon Adventure fans' hearts forever.
With Taichi and his friends in their early twenties, Kizuna is the perfect example of a coming of age / growing up movie. You can see them talk about university or job hunting, when some moments later they encounter a powerful, unknown enemy Digimon, Eosmon. Unable to instantly defeat it, they meet Menoa Bellucci; a girl who is a Digimon researcher and offers her help. She tells them that, because they are growing up, their time with their Digimon is limited and that sooner or later their digital partners will disappear. Not spoiling you the rest, but get prepared for a chain of unpredictable events and many meaningful messages.
The now grown-up characters we loved as kids, show clear character development and are true to their beliefs until the end, especially Yamato and Taichi who are the main protagonists. Daisuke and his gang from Digimon Adventure 02 play a role too, and seeing all the Chosen Children / DigiDestined fight together is pleasing. The main antagonist of the movie is what I would call a well-written villain, or maybe anti-hero, which is a big plus. There is no good and bad guy in this movie, there are just Chosen Children fighting against their own coming of age, each in their own way.
It is indisputable that Toei Animation put a great effort into this movie, because it is spectacular, full of detail and amazing soundtrack. Starting off with nostalgic "Butter-Fly" and "Brave Heart" to hit us in the feels, with a well-animated battle and beautiful scenery, they make it clear we are going to watch a great movie. As time passes, there is always a different soundtrack playing. It feels like each one is better than the previous one - and they all fit the atmosphere perfectly. The animation is great from beginning to end, the Japanese voice actors did an amazing job so it is inarguably a great audiovisual experience. Special credits to Natsuki Hanae (Taichi), Yoshimasa Hosoya (Yamato) and our guest star Daisuke Ono whose addition was a pleasant surprise to the Digimon world.
Closing the review, I would like to note that Last Evolution Kizuna is not only for Digimon Adventure fans, but for all audiences. That's because it is not a typical Digimon work and it holds special meaning for everyone. Its theme is something everyone can relate to, therefore I highly recommend it to all of you reading.
Thank you!
