DESCRIPTION
Even after spending a considerable amount of time with Takagi, Nishikata is still struggling to find a perfect plan to defeat the expert teaser. A battle of wits, a contest of physical prowess, a test of courage—any strategy he employs to expose her weaknesses is to no avail. On the contrary, Nishikata's pitiful attempts only reveal more of his own flaws, which Takagi takes advantage of to become increasingly daring in her teasing attempts. To make things worse for Nishikata, rumors about him and Takagi may have spread in class due to the frequent interactions between them.
However, the optimistic Nishikata believes that wisdom comes with age and that as the days go by, his experience with her constant teasing will eventually bear fruit, leading him to the awaited moment of victory. Thus, Nishikata continues to strive for the seemingly impossible—to outsmart Takagi and make her blush with embarrassment.

94/100Takagi-san 2 takes the winning formula of season 1 and improves everything, resulting in a truly fantastic sequelContinue on AniListSequels in any form of media are rarely better than their originals, and anime isn't really any different. Of course, we do see continuations that are better than the first part of the series (For example, Boku no Hero Academia season 2 and 3 are both significantly better than the first, Part 2 of Code Geass is generally considered to be better than the first, etc. etc.. Season 2 of Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san, however, is an enigma in this regard as it improves over its prequel in every conceivable way, down the very core of both the technical side and the story side of the anime.
On one end, the art and animation have been improved over the first season by a very considerable margin. The art and animation of the character's facial expressions and body movements are far more varied and detailed this time around, providing much better synergy with the once again amazing voice acting from Rie Takahashi and Yuuki Kaji, both masters of their craft and go perfectly together in their roles as the two main characters once again. The overall expressiveness of Takagi and Nishikata is a true world benchmark for how animated characters should be produced, and is bordering on perfection in this season. This is paired with a much more varied setting for individual chapters, meaning more interesting visuals to go with the new theme around this season's chapter selection. The sound design is also improved, with more music selection and a much more entertaining opening and ending choice, with more music sung by Takahashi, which is a treat as always.
While the first season almost exclusively focused on the comedy side of the story, this season takes a much larger leap to the romance side. Of course, there's plenty of comedy here, and the character interactions in this regard haven't changed much. The focus on the romance between Takagi and Nishikata, however, not only shows significant plot and character progression from the first season but also provides a much more engaging and dynamic feel from chapter to chapter. The most that was given in regards to romance last season was mostly at the end of the season with Nishikata subconsciously acknowledging his feelings for Takagi, and Takagi showing her clear emotional vulnerability around him. This time around, Takagi is far more bold and daring with how she relentlessly teases and embarrasses Nishikata, making him constantly veer from clear acknowledgement to harsh denial. She goes all the way towards making them a couple to outside observers, knowing full well Nishikata is too shy and is too aware of his feelings to outwardly deny it. The focus on their romance goes wonderfully with the better animation, since the expressive nature lends itself far more to showing what the first season was lacking: body language. Not everything is shown in the face here, a not insignificant amount is shown through how the character is positioned or moves in relation to the other, and it leads to a far less monotonous experience than before. In real life, the majority of communication is non-verbal, and this improvement makes the characters far more believable and fun to watch.
Another very significant improvement is the overall improvement on the chapters from Ashita wa Doyoubi. What was a welcome but extremely lackluster break from the main duo's antics is now a far more entertaining and involved break from the main duo. We get interactions that lend more towards the trio's personalities and they occasionally acknowledge recent events between the main duo itself, or on occasion tying into the same sequence, making the anime as a whole feel more alive and active within itself. More attention has been given to side characters as a whole, like the relationship between Nakai and Mano, or the one between Hamaguchi and Houjo. Once again, this causes the anime to feel much more lifelike and dynamic.
Takagi-san 2 shows that the show has much more to go off on that season 1 gave the audience, and is well worth its paces. If season 1 did not prove itself, season 2 surely will and then some. Takagi-san 2 is a fantastic piece of work that should be seen as a perfect example of how to improve and rework an anime to give more justice to its premise and story.

85/100Season Two of Two Children with large foreheads teasing each otherContinue on AniListStarting with the obvious Takagi-san season 2 this the second season to Takagi-san being the sequel to Takagi-san season 1 released a year and a bit prior while also being a continuation of the story from season 1 with the story originating from the manga ‘Teasing Master Takagi-san’. While that is obvious this worth noting as season 2 starts off straight away right into the heart of the action (teasing) making episode one feel more like the next episode in season one or an OVA than the start of a new season.
Much like season 1 the story is a series of short skits rather than one solid piece mainly due to the manga also telling its story in short sections. Overall I think it really makes the story and setting stand out more as it’s more about the little things that have a bigger impact. Adding in the age the (majority) of the characters I think the story is far better of these way. Story wise it is a continuation of the story from season one and is more or less the same, Takagi teasing Nishikata in some way showing the relationship the two have. In season two more of the ‘side’ characters are seen (new characters added too) giving the series a more complete overall picture of the world than season one. These new characters aren’t really introduced while Mina, Sanae and Yukari form to make comedy set that both makes episodes feel fresher (a good palate clearer between parts) and we also get to see more characters and there stories (again giving a more bigger overall picture rather than just focusing on Takagi teasing Nishikata). The number of skits in a episode can very a bit but the only problem I found this that due to the stop start nature it can feel a little long and repetitive sometimes especially as the sections do very in length and total number some episodes feel longer than other.
With the story being told the way it is as explained above I like it as it works well with the general story, all those little things that matter they matter more to kids but all the little bits build up into a very well crafted story about pre-teen youth (both Takagi and Nishikata are around 12 or 13), the relationships of pre-teen youths (imparter Takagi and Nishikata) and well kids being kids and the dally lives they live in care-free days all while growing up. While the main plot is may not be obvious what the series is moving towards the main plot is hidden within all the little bits so it’s worth watching closely to see these little bits as often the littlest of bits are a the key to the whole story. It’s a really great way of story telling as while a story isn’t being told to you but rather you live the characters day to days lives. This may look like a lack of focus even considering the ‘range of different things people do’.
Characters are nice once again the voice acting is superb, they feel human and relatable. As the series progress we get to see more the relationship between Takagi and Nishikata as they grow up from being children to teenagers. Again is mostly quite minor stuff but it all builds up to create a larger picture overall. For example all the little games Takagi and Nishikata play against each other that is natural for the age but someone losing the game (usually Nishikata) can be brought up again in later on.
Overall it’s a nice place to be, whole experience is quite relaxing to watch, that relaxed attitude from Takagi can be felt, all the characters feel human, a good soundtrack that helps build the moment and heart-warming moment all can be found here. As a second season it definitely carries on from where season one left off too (no real introduction at the start of season two and some new characters don’t really get introduced), that said your more likely to have watched season one before anyway as your are looking for more and well done. But I think the series has improved from season one not in any major way but all the little bits and allowing other characters to be shown more make the series a more complete world especially considering we do get to see a rather lots of other characters even though the main focus is on Takagi and Nishikata. Once again the art style is really nice and a good adaptation from the original manga also while taking about the manga the anime also adapted both ‘Teasing Master Takagi-san’ the main story and ‘Tomorrow’s Saturday’ a side story set in the same story as ‘Teasing Master Takagi-san’ but focusing on Mina’s, Sanae’s and Yukari’s shenanigans.
In general it’s funny, relaxing and heart-warming but the skits make the episodes feel a little different from each other and the story is a little too slow. But the second season of Takagi-san doesn’t disappoint I think it’s improved it.

" Teasing is bitter to him but sweet for her."
Oh, Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san. I think almost everyone knows about this iyashikei series. It's a series whose purpose is about to convey the warmth of someone who likes teasing her beloved one. Yes, she is Takagi-san, the 2nd middle school student who finds her desk mate as a funny yet so intriguing to get teased. Yes, Nishikata, her deskmate and obviously " the enemy " of this story, the one whose compassion is secretly watching/reading a romance which entitled for the girl, it's "100% unrequited love". Aside from his nervy attitude, he actually is a kind person, loves sweet stuff, like
Takagi-sanmilk, for example, and natural to get frightened of anything. And for those who've watched the Season 1, it's pretty obvious that Nishikata had tempted to disclose his heart to get filled by her warmth, yet no one could figure the kind of relationship they have. He hates her very much rather than his PE teacher and likes to get the revenge of the griefs he had due to her nature to tease him regularly. If Season 1 is more like a portrayal to each of character, Season 2 is more about "how he gets closer to her.""The character's portrayal is a good aspect which weaving concurrently with the story."
For the characters, I was a bit surprised to see some of the new characters besides his and her friends. Yes, Hamaguchi and Houjou to engage the story with another sentiment relationship between them. Otherwise, those stalkers (yes, that trio) seem to have a good side of the tale to blend with the story as well. the daily life and habit of them is a pleasure to watch and I might think it's a good addition to the premises that series does already have. Nishikata's companions are very good as well to portray the attitude of their dear friend. People may don't see this addition as a good thing either, as they usually can get bored with the story yet it's not bad at all to me. It's a good aspect which mixing together with the story.
"It's good and I have no problem or either being fine with the voice actors."
With Takagi is being a "friendly" teaser to Nishikata, I might say that these voice actors are pretty good enough in expressing a certain kind of situation. Takagi is flawless at pointing out his tendencies and Nishikata sounds childlike when it comes to bringing his little "vengeance" as usual. The other voice characters are also good as well, especially Mina who sounds annoying but her voice isn't really disturbing my ear either.
"It's a healing series, you could get sleep due to watching this series too much. "
No, it doesn't mean I incline you to not watch it. It means "don't try to endure it". Yes, because it's a healing series which order the audience to get their "energy" replenished by this series. However, you will get entertained by the "games" that Nishikata and Takagi do have. It's obviously enjoyable but it doesn't mean there is no flaw from this series. Yes, there is a lot, but it's your choice to point it out because I'm a reviewer, not an anime prosecutor. Otherwise, I enjoyed it even though it's not that perfect but it's worth it to watch. I might say that I also love the ending as well. And it's somewhat easy for me to give a pretty average for this anime series. Okay, that's all and thank you for reading this relaxing review.
