85/100A solid story with a solid beginning and end, with a few flaws and very dragged out middle.Continue on AniListMind you, I consumed this story partially blind to this genre. I only had read 2 before this, though both had fairly different concepts. Now, let’s get the elephant out of the room, and talk about whether this manhwa is worth picking up. Yes, it is. Despite its few flaws, I think it is able to stand on its legs and deliver good storytelling. __Story:__ This manhwa has a concept that isn’t exactly eye-opening. But I look for stories with great execution and direction. You can show me the same formula all the time and I’d be mind blown if it had great writing. Now, Raeliana has great writing. I think I’d place the story on this scale of 1 – 10. And it’s a solid 8. The concept is literally just Raeliana trying to survive… in Minecraft… But that’s where Raeliana fumbles a bit. Throughout the series, we are unsure of what Raeliana’s message is. Fans who initially came to see someone survive, might be disappointed, as it starts focusing more on romance rather than the survival. In fact, it might even be safe to say, Raeliana is only a survival story for its first arc. Now, I’m not saying Raeliana isn’t a survival story. It’s just kind of there, in the background. And for a good amount of chapters, we kind of forget it was initially a survival story. So conclusion, Raeliana is a romance story, first and foremost. Besides a few pacing issues, I’d say it does quite a lot of things right. Like the romance. It feels real, and not something where the story kind of pushes two characters together. Mainly, because Raeliana herself is a side character who assumed the main character role. Raeliana is a romance story. It is not a story with mind blowing world building. There was a few politics stuff happening in the background, but overall, it could be removed and it wouldn’t exactly interfere with the story. __Characters:__ Raeliana’s story might be a bit all over the place, but it is complimented by its characters. Raeliana, for one, is a strong woman, who is independent. While this is a low bar that stories should achieve, tons of anime and manga fail to reach this bar. It’s safe to say, she actually pushes the plot, considering she doesn’t want to die, which changes the plot of the book she was transported to. The only problem I have with Raeliana is that she is slightly bland. I can’t think of any particularly memorable trait she has, other than being strong and independent. But otherwise, she is a great main character. Noah, our male lead, is good writing. A cold man who has power who learns to love. He’s a great tease, too. DADDY FOR REALS! He was a bit inconsistent, in my opinion. He was hyped up to be a two faced person but everyone was able to read him in multiple instances, which kind of makes him to be easily understood. We’ve got a good cast of side characters who don’t feel like copies of other characters. I can name quite a few, as they have quite memorable traits, and that means the characters are good. Mind you, I’m new to the girl-transported-to-fantasy genre, so maybe they are copies. I would say none of the characters were wasted potential besides the antagonist of the story. Despite getting a small amount of screentime, I think the cast managed to not overshadow the main cast too much despite being fleshed out. The antagonist felt very shallow in my opinion, though. There are a lot of inconsistencies in her character. __Art:__ The art’s alright. I think I liked it much more at the start of the series compared to the end. The art did evolve. The character designs were pretty good. A solid 8. Raeliana’s outfit at the start really stood out to me. I think the style makes their designs memorable. I think Noah and the cast have solid designs. I personally liked this panel a lot: __Overall:__ Raeliana is a pretty solid manhwa. It has a few inconsistencies and suffers a bit from bad pacing, but overall, it can be an enjoyable experience. I expected much more stakes, however. I think Raeliana had this plot armor when she arrived at the Duke’s mansion, and it felt like she was never in danger. The romance was good. There was a certain angst scene where Raeliana was fighting her feelings (for actual good reason) and that was great storytelling. __TL; DR:__ Raeliana is a solid manhwa. It’s a great story that needs a bit of polish. Despite having weak worldbuilding and a confusing concept, it is complimented by its character writing and art. Raeliana is a romance story, first and foremost, not a survival story. Thank you for reading, and I’ll see you again in another one!

87/100Interesting Yet Cliche Type Of Regressor StoryContinue on AniList**The Main Lead of This Story** Raeliana, our regressor born in a historical novel where she is originally the side character but that doesn't seem to be the case for long when she decides to take control of her life to prevent herself from dying. She was reborn after being pushed off of a building's roof when she had gotten done studying and was anxiously awaiting for her college admission results when a man appeared before her and thus pushed her off leading to her modern world death and reincarnation in the historical novel. **Story & Characters** The story was interesting as one could say but in many cases, I was left confused and stranded with questions on what was currently happening and what some things meant as we never got clear context in some situations. Our female lead was confident and strong, that’s one thing for sure. She was already defending one of her guards, Adam, when he got insulted and faced racism from strangers when she had only known him for a day. Oh right, she also got a guard because she made a move on the duke, Noah. She made a deal where she would help him find the royal seal and that he would help her escape her engagement. She was a talented lady as well, her embroidery skills were topnotch which led to a misunderstanding and made Noah and Adam think she wanted a dragon as she had embroidered one onto the handkerchief for Noah. She could also speak a lot of languages due to her being from the modern world, one person who was dearly interested in this amazing feature of hers was Heika, the holy priest and who later on made himself her grandfather which was ridiculous. I hated when Raeliana was trying to get Noah and Beatrice, the rightful female lead, to meet each other even though she had already morphed the future with so many of her actions. She had these types of thoughts because she had escaped her engagement with the man who killed her in the novel so she thought she should make it right by letting her ‘’fiance’’ meet his rightful lover. I do feel it was really cliche though, when she wanted the novel’s female lead to be with him as every regressor always feels like that even though the male lead has fallen for them and not the novel’s lead. I do understand where she is coming from, she suddenly woke up in another person’s body which made her feel like she was an imposter, she got loving treatment from Raeliana’s family and then continued getting the same treatment from Noah, Adam and a lot of those who she was surrounded by. Of course she's not gonna think that she's changed the future because of a few things she's done. She thought that she could make Noah and Beatrice meet but that didn't happen and there's many other things happening for her to be worried about, such as figuring out who Raeliana's original soul was like and did since she had no memory of it. Their love story development was nice, but Raeliana constantly rejected Noah's love especially considering the fact he’s the one who never had any love life before her which made it seem like she was the inexperienced one and not him, seeing how affectionate he was towards her and became around others. He was trying to make an effort while she denied it, which made it feel unfair towards him. Raeliana’s character development was also kind of slow, she kept focusing on the novel story and not her present but when she and Noah had gotten into a dire situation where Noah had lost his hand, she realized that she loves him and that nothing else is more important than him. Let’s start with the villainess now, Beatrice. She was introduced in season 2 or 3, if I recall? But she made her proper debut in the story in season 4, where she took action against Raeliana. I was really confused about her character and who she was because the storytelling and building around her was confusing and I couldn’t make any sense in the chapters. But to my surprise, the original Raeliana Mcclain’s soul had gone into the body of Beatrice, when she was offered a deal by a black witch that she could live the life that Beatrice was given in the novel. But that wasn’t the case when Eun-Ha was killed in the modern world and her soul went to Raeliana and the original Raeliana went into Beatrice. This made her furious because Raeliana had taken initiave to not die like she did in the novel and Beatrice didn’t end up living the life she did like in the novel. This led to Beatrice trying to murder Raeliana on multiple occasions but failing as Noah had vowed to always protect her and always being able to keep that promise. Beatrice did try framing Raeliana on the King’s wedding, who is Noah’s brother and the king’s queen, Vivian was being used by Beatrice, she had used her as a puppet and murdered her on her wedding day and blamed it on Raeliana but the proof was weak and there were many arguments that she used against her that defeated her arguments and crying attitude. Raeliana did end up passing out during this time because she was close to Beatrice and something in her body always seemed to deny being around her which made her shut down. Beatrice had then kidnapped her and taken her to a forest near the palace where the wedding was being held and tried to murder her but Raeliana had gained consciousness but before that, she had gotten a relapse of her past memories of the original Raeliana Mcclain and finally figured out everything. Before Beatrice could attack her, Noah came to her rescue and saved her. Raeliana made the move to kill her, to finally end the terror that she had bestowed upon her. She shot her dead and while she was passed out, they were able to prove Beatrice was the murderer and culprit behind all that had happened. In the end, they ended up living peacefully and Noah proposed to her properly where she had accepted and thus they had a wedding where many of their loved ones attended and cheered for their bright future. We also got to see their beautiful daughter in timeskip. I do feel like it just didn’t feel like a good ending at the end when there was a lot more progress we could’ve seen with the female lead and her development towards the male lead. **Summary of the Story** I feel like the story was funny in many occasions such as when the female and male lead had their moments with their loving environments but the plot was rather confusing in many scenarios as I had explained. It was confusing trying to figure out who Beatrice currently is and I didn't like how Raeliana was trying to figure out the past but it made sense since something was wrong with her during the story. But she lacked in showing love to the male lead, Noah, in many ways especially considering how loving he was to her and this tickled my brain cause it's a romance manhwa obviously so it should prioritize the story writing around that. Neither did she use her knowledge from the modern world a lot which is something rather upsetting but a cliche move by female regressors in reincarceration historical novels. I do have a lot of favorite characters from the story such as Noah, Adam, Wheaton and Heika who made the story a bit more funnier and interesting with their banter. The side story which was her survival in the novel was also weak but it was mainly a romance story, where thus I cannot blame most of her survival actions. She could've been written better in many forms as there was nothing extraordinary about her. I was also deeply disappointed, since I started reading this cause of a video on social media that I had seen where it said that the female regressor had gone back to her original world where the male lead had followed her back and adjusted to the modern world just for her, which DID NOT end up happening sadly.
