30/100Just me rambling about this smoking garbage of a manga.Continue on AniListShort story:
Absolure trash, your typical second sort power fantasy, with typical abused beta MC, who got OP powers he didn't know of and now kicks asses of his opressors and gets all the waifus.Long story:
The skill he was born with, Gluttony, first thought of by our MC to be completely and utterly useless, since it only makes him hungry all the time. But, as later revealed, this is very OP skill basically gives him stats AND skills of the enemies he killed. It's not that it sound like a such op skill, after all Re:Monster managed to pull it out somewhat decently and overall it looked balanced. Kind of, at least. Here, however, he gets absolutely everything, all skills, every single stat point. He literally just multiplied his power by about 13 after killing goblins in just an hour of so. I legit never seen more broken skill in JP novels, and that should tell you something.
For example, these are stats before killing a few goblins:
And these are after:
Even more annoying is the fact of finding an ultra rare talking sword in a trash collection. Yeah, that's right. It's even worse than in Familliar of Zero. And it even calls itself Greed.
Next up, the place our MC finds himself in a highly meritocratic world, where the skill you're born with decides the entire course of your life, postion in society, and so on and so forth. This is a setup for a very average wish fulfillment story, the kind where everything is set up for a MC before he even knows it. Author goes out of their way to make Fate (yes, that's MC's name) look cooler than everyone else around him, as well as somehow having a moral highground for killing people.
Which is actually pretty weak, because author clearly tries to make his story as edgy and sharp as possible, but in truth it is way more blunt and oblique than it thinks it is. It's almost cute how mild it is. The pure amount of romcom overpowers any form of chuuni qualities it tries to have. It's like seeing a child claiming he's incredibly dangerous, only to be pinched in the cheek by his mother a few moments later. The mood of this thing is all over the place, lel.
The future course of this manga simply couldn't be described better:
-Gain stats from grinding low level enemies
-kill people who dis MC
-get girl

I really don't have much else to say about this.
Don't read this, unless you this kind of stories is the guilty pleasure of yours.
