DESCRIPTION
Two years have passed since the CCG’s raid on Anteiku. Although the atmosphere in Tokyo has changed drastically due to the increased influence of the CCG, ghouls continue to pose a problem as they have begun taking caution, especially the terrorist organization Aogiri Tree, who acknowledge the CCG’s growing threat to their existence.
The creation of a special team, known as the Quinx Squad, may provide the CCG with the push they need to exterminate Tokyo’s unwanted residents. As humans who have undergone surgery in order to make use of the special abilities of ghouls, they participate in operations to eradicate the dangerous creatures. The leader of this group, Haise Sasaki, is a half-ghoul, half-human who has been trained by famed special class investigator, Kishou Arima. However, there’s more to this young man than meets the eye, as unknown memories claw at his mind, slowly reminding him of the person he used to be.

40/100If you're really into Tokyo Ghoul then you'll like it. Otherwise, skip.Continue on AniListTokyo Ghoul:re Anime Review
Episodes: 12
Genres: Horror, Supernatural, PsychologicalPlot: 3.5/10
Most stories will have a clear problem in the beginning that the characters need to resolve before the book or show ends. Like in a classic mystery: someone dies, we need to figure out who killed them. Tokyo Ghoul:re doesn’t have something like that? We’re introduced to a mishmash of character who seem to not have any motivations, except one. Nothing happens that would indicate a problem until the anime is 3/4 over. The characters just live their lives, doing whatever they want, not achieving anything. The story is actually about how Haise deals with his lost memories, but the way he deals with it is so incredibly unrealistic and boring. The show cannot even get its main objective done well. Also, can we talk about Deus Ex Machina? Maybe used once or twice in a show isn’t that bad, but multiple times in every episode? It’s so annoying when none of the characters can die because everyone apparently has magical powers of living. You finally think someone will die, nope saved by some random luck. It’s poor story writing when you rely on this cliché so heavily.Art/Animation: 6/10
The animation is “meh” at best. There’s nothing really special about it. For a show heavily focused on fight scenes, said fight scenes weren’t animated to their full potential. Why this category gets a 6 however, is the art. I quite liked the character designs and seeing how old characters changed. Juuzou <3Music: 5/10
Numerous times while watching this show I thought to myself, “You know, there may be something wrong with your show if the opening theme is the greatest thing about it”. The opening was great; everything else was lackluster. Nothing more to be said about it.Characters: 1.5/10
This is my biggest problem with the show by far. None of the characters were likable, none (Juuzou is cool tho). The show tries its hardest to make you like the characters, except Urie, and feel for their struggles, but you just feel nothing. The show makes the ghouls out to be these harmless creatures that just need to eat, but you really couldn’t care less if any of them died. Speaking of Urie, he was the most annoying character I have ever had the misfortune of seeing in my entire life. His monologue was simply there to prove how much of a jerk he is and everything he does, everything is useless to the plot. He does nothing, but make himself look idiotic. Now, do the characters have any development? No. No, they don’t. The one character that is meant to have a lot of development, Haise, is the most indecisive person I have ever seen. I don’t want to talk about the ending because of spoilers, but you cannot have a character develop when they are constantly fluttering back and forth on how to behave. His entire character is a mess.Overall Score: 4/10

50/100The very confusing part in Tokyo Ghoul : reContinue on AniListOk, so listen, this review is my personal opinion, don't give hate to me neither the people who made the anime.
So you know, the anime was great and all but, the people who haven't read the manga before watching the anime, like me, I was confused like "Who is this? Where is Kaneki?", so after Haise encounters Niseki and just starts going beserk and little scenes of Kaneki were being shown just like in Tokyo Ghoul's 1st season, I though that he died and his 'Kidneys' were given to another person but then again like in the ending of the anime he turned into black haired Kaneki, I then watched some clips of the iconic chessboard scene of Haise turning into Kaneki and when I read the comments there was this there were multiples that were explaining this confusing parts :
'If anyones actually confused why theres two of him, i'll explain as much as i can and do it as simple as i can, okay first of all kaneki suffers from a personality disorder or a mental health that lets him have two or more personalities for him he only has two personalities, and that is kaneki/haise on the first season he only had one personality and that is kaneki the day that his friend technically died he caried hide's body and gave it to the ccg and after than it ends and here it transfers to tokyo ghoul:re, and this is where haise was born hes other personality, (to let you know personality disorder is one of the most deadliest disorders in the world)
And here in tokyo ghoul:re this his other personality called haise, the fact that this is not hes actuall personality is a problem since he suffers from it the moment he realised back in a few eps that he killed a ccg really triggered hes other personality to be remembered and that resulted in this flashbacks of him seeing his past self, but he denies it because he thinks this is who he is and that is (haise) but since thats only hes other personality he will never forget kaneki because again that is his true personality which he cannot forget, leading him so even more suffering, but later on in the anime he finally accepts his denied true self and decides to work with his copy kaneki and finally returns to his original self again and then he left ccg to be with touka which resulted in him destroying whole of tokyo, but since he realised and accepted his true self he continues with the final fight and lives with touka and had a baby, the ending was pretty wholesome i suppose but the ending really just was him accepting who he was and again the final fight.NOTE: i am not a expert when it comes to mental disorder, this is only based on research i did none of this is actually proven since again im not a professional or an expert, this also has some guesses so expect some kind of inaccuracy
(im sorry if i missed something dont attack me for it)Edit: in short terms it all started with fight of arima i think the fight with arima caused kaneki to be someone else and that is haise, or so i was told. This is the main source of kaneki to haise and from innocent kaneki to ghoul kaneki was from the torture from yamori'
